Can Gaffoor be redeemed? From what I have seen and it is only a little, the man is a criminal and a hypocrite. Apologies if I got this wrong but wasn't he implicit in the murder in the factory in which he and Razia happily framed Rashid for a crime he did not commit and made him pay by distancing him from his own children. But wasnt the dead woman Zoya's mother? Did Gaffoor know? If so isn't he as bad as Razia? Apologies if I got anything wrong I am a newbie to QH. Still have much to learn☺️

Love Gul and her team for breaking stereotypes and opening the eyes of few narrow minded and judgmental people.

well said, sangi...and that is the basic concept of Qubool hai... she wants the blast those rigid walls in the society not only in islam but in all religion that exist in the world...

Interesting question Sangeeta.. Gaffur is not the kind of a person who would bend his rules for anybody..(Even Zoya or Humeira).. I think his adamancy will drive his daughters further away.. and then ..may be..eventually he'll realize his mistakes and seek for redemption..
Personally, I would never want Zoya to forgive him.. but something that Zoya said "We are nobody to forgive anyone..its in the hands of allah", tells me that she might decide to forgive him later on..

I am waiting to see his reaction on seeing Humaira as hindu right now.
I feel he failed Zoya in their meet as strangers at orphanage. They way he insulted an orphan boy and carried the anger towards his savior. He might crave for his daughter, but he left her there as one and now vocal about his feelings for them(orphans). Helping with money just makes him more guilty now and redemption moves father..
Now sure why Humaria turned as hindu, is there a story behind it or just added as you said to break stereotyping?
Gaffur's track is still far, and I am sure by that time he would have completely alienated his both girls to accept him easily...

Interesting post Bheegi

The only 2 characters who cannot be redeemed are Razia and Tanveer. They are too far gone. They simply need to be punished. 😡

Although I think Ghafoor is a despicable human being, his soft spot for his daughters may be his saving grace. But, accepting Humaira as a Hindu and Zoya as modern may only happen when he has nothing left. He is too set in his rigid ways and beliefs. I always remember the scene when he mentions to Razia that he felt Humaira was too carefree in front of men. 😕

However, for Ghafoor's redemption to take place, he first has to go up against Razia. We know this will not be an easy feat since Razia spares no one who gets in her way. I feel sorry for anyone who goes up against her.

Then, his hypocrisy and participation in crimes must be exposed. He has to lose everything he values: money, prestige, respect in society, Razia's support. There should be no sugarcoating of his involvement in the death of Zoya's mother. All the blame cannot be put on Razia.

But, most of all he has to lose the love and respect of his daughters. They must come to despise him. Seeing only disappointment and hatred in their eyes should burn him. And, he needs to hate himself also. He then begs for forgiveness, get shunned, go away from his family and who knows, live and volunteer at a Hindu orphanage. 😲

After losing everything, Ghafoor will not care what his daughters are, what they believe or who they are married to. 😊

Redemption in QH must not be easy. Just as Asad has to go through hell, so does Ghafoor, Rashid and Ayan.

While I'm usually wrong in trying to predict anything in this show, just felt like sharing my thoughts.

Anyhoo, exciting times ahead.

Yeah I think it's an identity switch scenario too. I think this new personality of Humeira's is probably to drive home to Ayaan that jeans don't make women modern. He needs to see that Humeira can be feisty, loyal, fun and brave. Right now he sort of takes her for granted and doesn't recognize the different facets of her personality but maybe seeing her as a carefree young girl will change that?

Gaffur is the worst kind of hypocrite and he will pay heavily for the choices he has made. The only reason Asad will succeed in winning back Zoya is because he is in fact not guilty. But Gaffur is. So, I am definitely interested to see those dynamics. I am sure Gaffur will want to know his daughter but will she? He is going to have to work very hard to explain why she was left in an orphanage and of course answer questions about his affair with her mother and his treatment of Dilshaad, Asad and Najma.

I think the biggest punishment for Ghafoor would be to be disowned by both his daughters. So far, we have seen that Humeira is his weakness and he does yearn for his missing daughter too. In the end I want him to be a lonely and sorry man ...and of course Razia burnt to death

Though it could also work the way you have said it.

Going by the symbolic scene outside the dargah, I feel Zoya will try to appease him for a while, hence her conflict with Asad. Later when she realizes what kind of person Ghafoor really is, tables will turn and she will leave him forever

And if it ever came down to her having to choose between Asad and Gaffur...no doubt in my mind Gaffur will definitely lose.

You bet...Asad will win hands down but I feel after Zoya has tried her best to make amends with Ghafoor

Ghafoor should remain lonely and loveless in the end...

On Humeria, it seems its amnesia, guess thats what movies and serials use a lot😆😆

Yeah, looks like amnesia to me too. Would love to see how Ghafoor reacts to his "Hindu' baby girl😊
