I know the forum is overflowing with Asad posts today. After all the CVs gave us a wonderful episode. But I still wanted to share my two cents on each and every word he chose today.
Koi Uljhan Nahi Hai
Well, this was the most important, and most needed dialog of today IMO. More than Tanu, it was Asad himself who needed to hear this. Yes, he had been wanting to confeess his love, and all that, but even his confession always started with "Hum bahut alag hain"... It was like, if he did not have trust on his own feelings/choice, how could Zoya have that trust? I don't blame Zoya for continously thinking Asad was going to leave her (in the beginning confessions) or dump her before the Nikaah.
But today, Asad said to himself, and out loud, That there is no Confusion. Finally, Asad is sure that his Ammi and he have made the right choice. A choice he is proud of. And, a choice he does not doubt anymore.
Zoya ne kuchh galat nahi kiya...
Ever since the serial started, these are the words I have been waiting to hear from Asad's mouth. Him, saying Zoya has done no wrong. This is his first step towards trusting Zoya, because finally he has broken down the wall of mistrust. It was Zoya who has broken it down brick by brick. Earlier it was Dilshaad who had to show him what Zoya did and why... But now as he has seen, nothing Zoya does is ever with a wrong intention. The discussion after the skirt fiasco, and the burns... all put together with the few things she has done, the alarm system, barging into Ayan's engagement, and what not... coupled with Dilshaads words about how Zoya is (achhi, forgiving, caring for the safety of this family, etc. etc)... and the final assurance by the Imam Saab... have made him see Zoya in a new light. A Zoya that does not do any harm intentionally, A Zoya who has a deep care and understanding of relationships... A Zoya who does no wrong...
Saboot hain ki wo andar se kitni strong hain
Such a smart response to Tanveer's blame on Zoya yesterday about being a dainty darling. What a slap. This goes to say that just because Asad keeps quite and accepts what is said in silence, does not mean he agrees with it. Tanveer said Zoya was a weakling, and Asad looked at her in disapproval yesterday.But today, he said, no matter how clumsy, funny, and weak or fragile she appears on the outside... she is strong inside. Because she has weathered many a storms...ALONE
Apne dukh kisi ko zahir nahi hone deti...
This, is another slap on Tanveer's face. Because, she has been ranting "Aap to Jaante hi Jammy, bachpan se hamne kya kya saha hai". Here I think Asad relatest o Zoya now... Because he is like that too. Although he has been a brooder, or a loner, he never lets his pain out so easily either. With the seeing of the scars, and putting everyting together, Asad finally sees that deep down Zoya and he are connected with a very important similarity - that they hide or shadow their pain. Aasd by his silence and Zoya by her chatty comedy. But, both souls are tormented equally, and they share the pain, the pathos, as a common biding factor. Reminds me of the ghazal Gham ka Khazana Tera Bhi Hai, Mera bhi... by Jagjit Singh... Do listen to it... if you get a chance.
Wo Zindagi se Naraaz Nahi Hui
This is where Asad contrasts Zoya. He was angry with his life, calling it unfair. He still had his Ammi and Najma by him. But Zoya, was even more hurt, even more lonely, and still she never developed a sense of anger for the world. He finally saw the Zoya behind the funny shers, and the comic actions. Another sher from Jagjit Singh - Sach to ye hai Fool ka dill bhi challi hai... Hansta chehra ek bahana lagta hai... Today he finally saw the bahana behind the hansta chehra... In the initial episodes this was also told about Dilshaad. That she smiles more often when she is sad. Today Asad saw a Dilshaad in Zoya... And, I am sure he was impressed by her... and looks at her in awe for her amazing strength and poise. He wanted a girl who had the thehrav, the dignity of Dilshaad. And, today he realized, Zoya has all of it. Just hidden behind a different exterior.
Apni aur auron ki zindagi mein khushiyaan bikherti rehti hain...
This is, and will be, by far and large the single largest factor that will impress Asad and make him fallin love with Zoya again and again. It is the part or the quality in Zoya that completes him. The spoon and the Plate. It is this aspect of her attitude, that he now understands. Nothing is mazaak for her. Nothing she does is bachkana anymore. He realizes the intention behind it all, and that is to make others happy...
Infact you should learn something from her
A huge slap to someone who has been sitting on her fat ass in their house and complaining about how much she has suffered. Well, I dont think Asad meant to insult Tanveer. He was ofcourse defending his Sherni, but he also wanted Tanveer to learn a thing or two and begin to rebuild her life. But nonetheless, the words were the most wonderful slap Tanveer could have ever gotten.
I am in love with Asad today (As If I have not said that 100 times already). Loved his protective, possessive, caring attitude today.
But I also love the change Asad has brought in Zoya. Trully, you dont fall in love, you rise in love. :) Which is why Zoya can so confidently hold his arm (and know that unlike the engagement truth that was being shrugged by him, he wont shrug her grip now) or wear the sleeveless suit. This time it was not about the skirt or kapde vs. character anymore. This time it was the liberation of finally being able to step outside and show the world that she is not ashamed of the scars. Finally, she carried those scars as badges... or medals... that she won in the war of life... Those badges that do not remind her of the pain anymore, but shine brightly as evidences of the hurdles she has overcome (just like asad said) and even more so as the evidence of the love the man she lvoes has for her...

And, ;last but not the least - Hamein is nishaan se koi dikkat nahi hai...
He spoke not only for her, or himself, but them. Loved the sound of Hamein ... Its truly a great leap of love and faith to see this transformation in him... He could have said, mujhe dikkat nahi hai, ya Ms. Farooqi ko dikkat nahi hai to aapko kyun hai types... but he categorically said, hamein koi dikkat nahi hai...
Then the second time with Tannu he says, that mujhe dikkat nahi hai aur kisi aur ko nahi honi chahiye... Its like he again teritorized Zoya... as his! No one else has the right to question her, as long as he is not questioning her... And, more importantly I love the hidden symbolism in this dialog that tomorrow, if so be it (like when Gafur truth comes out) the world may have a problem with it, but he wont! He will stand by her, come what may.
Then the second time with Tannu he says, that mujhe dikkat nahi hai aur kisi aur ko nahi honi chahiye... Its like he again teritorized Zoya... as his! No one else has the right to question her, as long as he is not questioning her...
