I have to say I loved your use of the Fools rush in quote. It is completely apt for AsYa. Their relationship has evolved so much and both the characters have changed quite a bit. I don't think Zoya is a weak character like so many people are saying. She's mellowed but has not lost her fiery streak. She is still confronts Asad when necessary (plate scene, bedroom scene - after the table and even her jealousy). She's not doing it in the conventional sense but that doesn't mean that she has no self-respect or is a weak character. IF you've noticed, from the beginning Zoya has not always answered back and she has taken his scoldings to a certain extent but has also given it back. The same is still true.

Actually, both the characters have changed but in very different ways. Asad has become a lot more tolerant and mellow. He's learnt to trust and respect Zoya a lot more. The fact that he has faced and accepted his feelings for Zoya is also a huge step for him. As for Zoya, she also has mellowed but in a different way. While she is still impulsive, she has learned to think things through a little bit more and also has started to respect and understand Asad and his beliefs which she didn't in the beginning. There is a mutual understanding between them that is slowly but surely building and developing between them. This is true especially if the spoilers end up being true (fingers crossed). For him to start doubting Tanu based on Zoya's allegations (even though not proven) will prove this fact and also show his building trust in her.

I'm also really glad that his heart had already chosen Zoya before and after Tanu's entry. The main difference is that after her entry (+ve or -ve), he got closer to Zoya and started accepting his feelings more actively. That is the only reason why I would appreciate her character's entrance.

The one thing I would like to see a little bit more strongly is Zoya's feelings and thought process regarding Asad. We know for certain exactly how Asad feels but while we know Zoya loves Asad (her possessiveness and jealousy, her growing respect for him etc.), I wish they would show her acknowledging it a little bit more openly (to herself).

Great post, as usual 😊

Great post! I love the way they have shown the progression of Asad and Zoya's relationship. They have come a long way but at this point what I'd like to see is some trust from Asad's side towards Zoya and from Zoya's side, I'd like to see a monologue where she admits that she is in love with him. All her actions depict she is (possessivenss and jealousy, wanting his approval, relying on him) but in her monologues she hasn't gone beyond "kyu farak padta hai." Would like to see her introspecting.

"Growing" is a process..and it's a continuous process..and they are growing everyday..in love with each other.. knowing each other.. Understanding each other.. Their relationship still has a lot of problems but they are dealing with them so that's a good thing..

Lovely post! Yes, Asad and Zoya's love and personalities have grown so much. I still watch a lot of the old scenes and I love the evolution I see. For example, Asad has always cared for Zoya and always has been attracted to her. After the akram fiasco, when he covers her belly and removes his hand his awkwardness is evident but today he publicly hugs zoya and he is completely fine with it. It goes on to show how Zoya has slowly conquered his heart. Also, one of the very first mitwa moment was asya fighting the goons after zoya left the house. His attraction for Zoya is evident when she comes close to him but with that is also an expression of confusion. But now whenever Zoya is close to Asad we see a content/happy expression. I give a lot of credit to the directors and KSG for this. Even Surbhi's expressions have changed from awkwardness to possessiveness to even pleasure. The amazing screen play and chemistry is what made me so crazy about QH. I just hope we get that back in the upcoming week.

Another thing that I loved about Asad and Zoya and even QH in general was that every characters emotions and actions were rational and justified given their understanding of the situation/their position. For example, Asad's anger towards Rashid is justified given the scenario he has seen. Also, Asad's initial irritation with Zoya was also justified given that she came in his house and changed everything including him and his way of thinking (he actually even admitted that during his confession practice). I would not say that Asad's actions now are not justifiable, they are. However, his stupidity and ignorance is not. And let's hope that the spoilers are true and next week we get the old QH back.

I love the point about Billi (i never refer to her with her name because i hate her so much-she is a cat)...Asad's ideal women that he HAD in his mind is in front of him in his house. Yet, it is Zoya who occupies his heart. I think the cv's have brought Billi in for Asad to get rid of the preconceived notions he makes about people and to alter his thinking and I hope that happens soon. When Billi's truth is revealed, we will get a Asad whose thoughts are much different. Asad's redemption must start ASAP. Nonetheless Zoya has carved a very very special place for herself in Asad heart and his family and no one can take that or change that.

Thanks! :)

Totally AGREE with you! That scene is one of my favorites--I watch it the most..love the part when he covers her belly..that particular scene is etched in Asad's memory too-- he recalls it quite often!

I watched the goons scene yesterday..three times actually and I noticed the same thing too--Asad's expressions were exactly like you mentioned..attracted/confused/guarded! AND the way he takes the bottle on his head..so aware of his surroundings when it comes to Zoya..he was so quick in turning around and taking that bottle on his head that was meant for Zoya? He has always been her protector--even in meteor shower scene he was concerned for her being out so late..and kept saying that Ammi parayshaan hain while he was parayshaan himself too and didn't wanna leave Zoya alone!

"But now whenever Zoya is close to Asad we see a content/happy expression." RIGHT ON!

The fact that Asad admitted that Zoya has changed everything including him is the biggest change in itself!

"I would not say that Asad's actions now are not justifiable, they are. However, his stupidity and ignorance is not." Couldn't agree more! You described it wonderfully!

Billi has only helped AsYa! I hate her with all my heart but I don't! If Billi hadn't come, Asad would have never learnt his lesson about judging people on their appearance (once Billi's truth is out). Also, did you watch the SBB/SBS spoiler? It looks like a positive thing to me--Zoya confronts Asad after he says the tehzeeb line/ap meray liye bilkil sahi lurki nahin hain--which I am sure he is gonna regret later and then grill chicken for his wifey dear--that's what I got outta spoilers! I am glad Asad and Zoya are gonna talk about this issue..Asad was walking backwards like he always does when Zoya is confronting him, lol! they are definitely acting like a couple now!!! It definitely looked like a good scene to me and not just a typical Asad shouting and Zoya crying! + Asad took heed of Dilshad's advise and discussed the matter with Zoya privately in his room--What did you think of the spoilers?

Still no signs of the actual mehndi ceremony--I keep saying that..I have a feeling that mehndi ceremony won't take place after all because Zoya will get hurt badly on that day before the ceremony! And even if the ceremony happens, Billi would hurt Zoya with fire before the ceremony finishes..and nikkah will be a quiet thing instead of a big celebration!

See, if they want AsYa married on the tenth day then Billi will hurt Zoya on the mehndi day (before or during the ceremony) BUT if they don't want AsYa married on the tenth day (I highly doubt it--marriage will happen) then Billi will hurt Zoya on the Nikkah day!!!

Thanks for your comment! It's always good to read your feedback!

I LOVE the Fools Rush In quote! It's one of my favorites!

"The absence of him is everywhere I look." - Bella Swan

"No measure of time with you will be long enough. But let's start with forever." - Edward Cullen

The above two quotes have absolutely nothing to do with AsYa, LOL! But thought I should share them while I am talking about my favorite quotes! :D

I so agree with you! Even I never felt that Zoya is a weak character!! In fact she is the only girl who could have tamed the lion--Zoya is just perfect for him.

"Asad has become a lot more tolerant and mellow. He's learnt to trust and respect Zoya a lot more." That's exactly what I keep saying--People write about him being disrespectful and rude to Zoya but I see him differently. He does respect and trust her but he needs to respect and trust her MORE---he may not be where we all want him to be, but he is definitely not where he used to be--he has surely changed a lot! He is honoring and trusting her more than before and tmrw he will trust, honor and respect her more than today..growth is a process--and Asad is growing! He's on the right track! And same goes for Zoya..

If Asad had chosen Tanu to be his wife even after falling in love with Zoya..changed his mind about Tanu after finding her true colors and then pursued Zoya..that would have made Zoya his second choice..So glad that Asad choose Zoya..even when he still thinks that Zoya isn't exactly his ideal..I love this about Asad! He is completely led by his heart now--talk about change..that's a big one!

Thanks for the feedback girl + what do you think about spoilers?
