I have already produced a plethora of short stories (dont know if they are creative 😆)...just not for qubool hai. I intend to do that for qubool hai too...hopefully I have enough time on my hands.

lovely update!

as fr your questions--

The subcontinent people sometimes have vidaii...for a shaadi

but the nikkah...is just the actual ceremony ( the part where qubool hai is said) ...no ghar pravesh either, although normally the bride just brought to sit down and rest a little, eats something sweet,..probably cuz she is tired...before she goes into the grooms room

Morning after, traditionally the bride's family members bring breakfast over for the groom's family and bride..

Hope that helps!

Part 6

The next morning Zoya woke up early so she could make breakfast for her "un" (a shy way a wife calls her husband). And maybe put poison in the breakfast and get rid of her un forever.

First thing Zoya did after waking up was of course check his damn sofa...the one he had left her for. Empty. He was already up. 7 am and he was already up. She couldn't wake up this early everyday if anyone paid her. Zoya grabbed her clothes and headed toward the bathroom to shower. She opened the door and froze. Her husband was standing in front of the mirror in a towel fixing his wet hair. Styling it...ohh so that was the raaz (secret) of his amazing hair. Zoya just started drooling right then and there. Her heart rate spiking, her body temperature rising. God but he was hot. She could look at him all day and never tire. She wanted to touch those abs that he displayed so shamelessly to the mirror. Run her fingers through the mass of hair he was styling so carelessly. She wouldn't be careless, she would very lovingly, affectionately, softly run her fingers...'What wait had she been thinking.' Zoya lost her train of thought as her eyes traveled down south. Before they could reach their destination, however, Mr. Khan turned around and jumped.

"What the hell Ms. Farooqi. What are you doing here. Can't you see I am in here." His towel almost slipped off him but he caught if before anything could be uncovered to Zoya's hungry eyes.

Zoya painfully tore her eyes away from his sizzling body. She got back into her element though because she was pissed off at him at his stupidity from last night. She would show him.

"What am I doing here? This is my bathroom too in case you forgot so soon, and I wanted to shower. And you should have locked it. Mujhe kya sapna aayega ki aap andar hai (How would I have known you are inside). Aur yeh ladkiyon ki tarah kya sharmarahe hai aap? (And why are you acting shy like a girl?)."

"I...I am not," he seemed a bit baffled at her question.

"Oh by the way, it's Zoya. Z-O-Y-A...Zoooyyyaaa..." she spelled and enunciated her name to get her point across.

"I know," he said exasperated. "As you can see know, I am in here. So leave...Ms...Zoya."

"Mujhe baat karni hai (I want to talk)."

"Right now Zoya. Can't you see I am...indecent. Leave Zoya NOW."

"FINE, there is no need to shout. Mere kaan kaam kar rahe hai. Mein behri nahi hui hu...ab tak to nahi lekin jaldhi ho jaogi appke saath rahte rahte. (My ears work. I am not deaf...atleast not yet but living with you, I will definitely go deaf soon)."

"I should be saying that to you rather than the other way around. Now leave."

Zoya angrily released her breath and turned around to leave but her foot slipped on something.

"Ahhh," Zoya screamed, but before she could hit the floor Asad caught her.

Zoya slowly opened her eyes to stare into his beautiful orbs. One of her hands was touching the masterpiece abs she had been adoring with her eyes moments ago. Blood started to rush under her cheeks as he kept staring at her and as her hands kept touching the surprisingly warm flesh.

"Dekh keh nahi chal sakti (Can't you watch where you are going?).

Damn, but the man had a way of ruining amazing moments.

He let her up and she walked outside and he shut and locked the door this time.

Zoya mumbled to herself as she waited for him to get out of the bathroom. 'Allah miyan, the man was going to drive her into the mental asylum one day. So hot, but can't touch. So hot, but won't even let me look. Covers up like a damn girl.'

A few minutes later he came out dressed all ready for work. Was he going to leave so soon? She hadn't even gotten a chance to make breakfast for him yet.

"Are you leaving so soon?"

"No I just like to wake up early. I am going to go read the newspaper now," Asad said matter of factly.

"Wait Mr...I mean Asad. I wanted to ask you something."

"Why did you walk away from me last night?" What she had really wanted to ask him was did he not want to marry her. Did he marry her for phuphi. Did he even care about her? But she chickened out...too afraid to hear the answer or too proud to ask something like that to a man she was bound to forever, a man who should care about her unconditionally.

He just stared up at her shocked. Apparently, he hadn't thought she would ask him anything like that.

Zoya noticed a slight blush on his face and realized what she had just asked him...that why didn't he sleep with her last night? Well she hadn't meant to ask him quite like that. So she tried again.

"I mean...this is your bed, your room. You did not have to leave the bed."

Pride be damned, she just went for it then. "Uhh...what I meant to ask was...I mean did you not want to marry me?"

"Zoya we can talk about this later."

"Why later. I want to talk right now. If you didn't want to marry me then there may still be time...we might still be able to get out of this marriage." He looked up at her with surprised eyes.

"We can't do that. Ammi would be crushed. I just wanted some time...and I guess I wanted to give you some time too." But what did time have to do with wanting to marry someone or not, Zoya thought. Either you wanted someone or not. It was simple, but then again what about this man was simple? Nothing.

He could probably tell she was not satisfied with the answer so he continued, "I just...Zoya we both got married because ammi wanted it, and now maybe we should just take things very slowly." He emphasized the very.

Fine if its time he wanted then he would get it. Zoya hoped hell didn't freeze over before his time was up though.

"Okay."

------------

Asad breathed a sigh of relief as he left the room. He had not expected her to ask him that so frankly. 'Well, of course she did...it's Zoya afterall,' he thought.

He knew he should have said something last night, but he just didn't know how to. He had said yes to the nikaah because of his ammi...and maybe because he couldn't bear the thought of her marrying someone else, and perhaps because he wanted to himself. But then he had many doubts. He kept second guessing himself right up until the nikaah when maulvi sahib asked him the million dollar question. He simply couldn't refuse then, but despite his ammi's soothing words his doubts persisted. He could so easily hurt her like that Rashid Ahmed Khan did with ammi. As it is, he hurt her on a daily basis. He couldn't tolerate it if he did what Rashid did to ammi. The only way now was to keep some distance from her.

------------

I tried to include a bit of Zoya's humor in this one. We all know how resilient she is...no matter what happens she bounces back with her humor and chirpiness. So I tried to do the same in this part. Did I succeed? Did it seem awkward because at times it seems awkward to me on the show when they randomly include humor in intense moments.

So comment and let me know.

P.S. I have exams right now guys. So please bear with me. As it it, I should have been studying right now rather than writing this part but I got so sick of studying. But know that I might not be able to update now until Tuesday.
