Pratha makes Sanyogita understand that she is the only one that Prithvi has to lean on, Sanyogita picks up her sword and decides to track down her husband.
Chapter 9:
As Sanyogita walked through the palace halls the soliders and maids on duty came forward to ask if she needed anything, but after thanking them politely and asking them to guard her daughter she moved on towards her manzil. The guards and staff didn't ask her where she was going so late at night with the sword because they were witnessess of the love between their Mahraja and Maharani and knew that obviously this time their queen was going to make up with her husband which they all agreed was rare as their king was usually the one in trouble.
Prithvi sat on the bench in the garden staring up at the moon and wondered how the stars could still be shining so brightly when he felt nothing but blackness inside of himself since his life had spirled out of control early today, he still couldn't belive that within a space of a few hours he might lose everything in his life that mattered to him. Thinking of his life he looked up at his bedroom window and then ran his hand across the bench remembering that while she was pregnant his Sanyogita had demanded he get the bench so that she could watch him practice saying that she missed him he also remembered the argument that they had when he had tried to stop her coming out here when she was pregnant and he also remembered that he had lost the arguement as soon as he had seen the tears in her eyes. Thinking of the tears in her eyes that day took him back to the look in her eyes when she had asked him to leave her alone, looking up from the bench towards his bedroom window Prithvi asked in a hoarse voice
'Ku Sanyogita, Hum ko akela ky kar diya thu ne' and then suddenly feeling suffocated in her garden where everything was a reminder of her he picked his sword up and left as quickly as his feet could take him.
Arriving in 'her garden' as Prithvi called it Sanyogita looked around for her husband but couldn't see him anywhere, coming further into the garden just to make sure she walked pass the bench and suddenly stopped. Walking over to the bench she sat down and knew as soon as she did that Prithvi had been here. She knew that he would have been sitting here looking up at their bedroom window and even though he was hurting he would still have been blaming himself for everything that had happened and would have even taken the blame for her mistakes never even thinking to blame her. Feeling a sudden longing for her Prithvi Sanyogita got up and hurried across the garden towards the only other place her husband would have gone.
'Hum a rahe hu Prithvi' she thought as she hurried off in search of her husband.
Prithvi walked into the room dismissing the gaurds as he went wanting to be alone, shutting the door behind himeself he walked over the bench and stopped long enough to strip his shirt off before picking his sword up and moving towards the middle of the areana. Taking the sword in his hands he felt its weight and as he swiped to the left and right, and that along with the sound of the blade as it cut through the air helped to comfort Prithvi abit. At least this was something that he could do well he thought again pondering on his failure to protect his angle. Prithvi continued turning to Left, right, right, left and so on hoping to empty his mind.
Sanyogita came into the training arena and silently closed the door behind her and moved over to sit on the bench intending only to stop long enough to fix her clothing but instead got lost watching her husband.
Sanyogita watched Prithvi moving from side to side moving so fast that all she could see of his blade was a silver streak as it cut through the air, he was topless, the sweat on his carmel coloured skin glistening like rain drops making her want to touch him. His muscles flexing emphasing the strength in his arms, arms which she knew would always keep her safe. As she continued to watch him she realised that there was something very wrong.
'Prithvi' Dropping her sword Sanyogita hurried over to her husband realising that he was lost somewhere where he couldn't hear her. Walking up behind him she put her arms around his arms and said again 'Bus Prithvi, Bus , hum a gaye ho, she whispered softly 'teri jungliee billie a gaye hai' she said a little louder when he didn't stop. Maybe it was her voice or the nick name that she used but what ever it was Sanyogita would always remember and be grateful for the moment that her husband dropped his sword and turned around in her arms and just held onto her.
Prithvi thought he heard her voice but knew it was just his hearts desire, even when he felt arms around him he dared not believe but when he heard her say 'jungliee billie' he couldn't take it anymore and decided he would belive in the lie because atleast this way he could have his Sanyogita, so when he dropped his sword and tuned into the arms holding him he couldn't belive that it was really her. It smelt like her that combination of vanilla and roses and it felt like her that baby soft skin and it even looked like her those biy gorgous eyes but his mind stil refused to believe so he just grabbed hold of her and held on.;
'Sanyogita kya such much thom ho' he asked afraid that she would disappear
'Ha Prithvi, hum hai' she whispered softly stroking up and down his back 'Hum ko maf kar jo bi hum kaha tha wo hum gusse me kaha tha' she told him lifting his head so that she was looking into his eyes when she said it.
'Nah Sanyogita , tho ne such kaha tha sub hamari galthi thi hum puri Delhi ke raksha kartha pur humare ankh ge agey yeah sub humari beti ke saath huwa or hum kuch nahi kar saktha' he told her angrly not even aware of the tears flowing out of his eyes.
'Nah Prithvi' Sanyogita cried desperately her chest feeling tight having seen what her words had done to her husband.
'Hah Sanyogita, he cried pulling away from her he turned to walk away and then all of a sudden turned and walked back to Sanyogita and grabbed hold of her shoulders.
Prithvi held Sanyogita by the shoulders so that he could make her understand how big his mistake really was.
'Sanyogita, aaj thuk hum ne Nandani ko ek assu bi nahi bahan ditta or aaj, aaj humari karan uss or thum bi assu bahi' he told her
Sanyogita was in so much pain that she felt she couldn't breath, she couldn't believe that she had forgotten that just because her husband was strong enough to handle the whole of Delhis pain that he would be strong enough to handle his own as well. Saying a prayer of thanks to Pratha for bringer her to her senses Sanyogita looked into Prithvi's pain filled eyes and kissed kissed one and then the other and when he went to speak again she kissed him on the lips to silence him.
Prithvi was in shock he had told Sanyogita what he had done and even though she had tears in her eyes instead of leaving him again she was kissing him and then she smiled, that adorable smile which always made him happy when ever he saw it.
Once she was sure that she had his complete attention Sanyogita spoke in a tone of voice that Prithvi loving called her Maharani voice and anyone who heard would agree. Speaking in a strong sure voice despite the tears in her eyes Sanyogita said
'Prithvi tum bagwan nahi hain, tum hum or Nandani ko zindagi mein subi dook se dor nay rak saaktha, or jo kuch aaj huwa tha os mein deri koi dosh nahi thi' before he could say anything she put a finger over his lips and continued
'Or Prithvi hum dono bhool gaye thai ke humari nandani koi amm si larki nahi hai woh Prithviraj Chauhan ke beti hain or who bi ap ke pita se aapna dard apni thakath ban de ge' she told him.
Moving her finger away from his lips Prithvi questioned her needing to make sure she really didn't blame him
'Sanyogita, tum such mein hum ko maf kar diya'
'Nay' she said completly shocking him before she continued 'Hum tum ko maf nahi kiya ku key mafi key zarorath nahi hain' and when Sanyogita saw that beautiful half smile on her husbands lips she threw her arms around him to hug him and then laughed in happiness as her husband lifted her up and twirled her around and around in the air.
Prithvi watched Sanyogitas face as she turned it up towards the heavens and when she threw her arms out wide as he twirled her around Prithvi felt himself laughing and crying at the same time unable to believe all that had happened but thankful for it.
'Baas Prithvi' Sanyogita said laughingly 'Hum yaha ek makset ke saath aiye thi' she told him in a playful tone as he put her back on her feet.
'Aacha or hum ne soocha tha ki thujse hum se door nahi se sakthi' he said as he held her in his arms
'Elbowing him in the stomach' Sanyogita stepped away from him and putting her hands on her hips said 'nay aaj hum dekneh aiy ke humara sisha talwaar baazi mein abhi bi kamzoor hai' and then walked over to pick up her sword.
Prithvi watched Sanyogita as she walked over to the bench, fixed her clothing and then picked up the matching sword to his and watched in pride as she held it in her hands like an expert testing the weight in each hand. It was only as she started walking back to him that Prithvi realised she was wearing his favourite gold lengha, it was his favourite because even though it wasn't ccovered in beading it was light enough that she could move around in it and spar with him. Prithvi remembered with fondness the first time that she had picked up the sword and challenged him to a dual so that she amd Pratha could go to the festival in one of the villages after he had said no. Prithvi remembered how he had thought to indulge her and had thought it would be a quick victory for him, instead she had made him work and sweat before he had one. He had been so impressed with her skills he had taken her and Pratha to the festival and had got a special sword made for her incase she wanted to practice with him again, and to his pleasure she had joined him often.
'Kya huwa Maharaj hum se daar gaye' Sanyogita asked Prithvi bringing him back to earth with a bump, he saw her standing the arena waiting for him
'Delhi wale Kanauj wale se kabhi nay dardthe' Prithvi told her with a laugh going to pick up his sword and join her in the arena
Sanyogita extended her right arm bringing the sword up and out level with Prithvi's chest 'Such Delhi wale Kanuaj wale se nah darthe pur hum bi Delhi wale hain' she told him before bringing her arm up and attacking
Blocking her sword Prithvi said 'yeah bi such hai' and made his attack. Moving to the right Sanyogita blocked his sword and countered with her own move, and so it began all conversation forgotten know that they were both caught up in who would win. Attack, stop and counter attack it went on the only sounds in the room was the sound of their heartbeats and the grating of steel on steel.
Prithvi watched as Sanyogita raised her sword to make her next attack but lost her footing, moving lightening fast he reached her just intime to catch her in his arms. Looking down at her flushed cheeks and bright eyes prithvi felt his heartbeat speed up faster than it had been while they were sparing.
Watching her Prithvi Sanyogita loved the way that his hair fell over his face covering one side of his face and as she continued to watch she saw his carmel coloured cheeks turn red and felt her heart skip a beat as Prithvi lowered his head to kiss her on the lips. He was home Prithvi thought at the first touch of his lips on her lips.
Feeling embaraased incase someone caught them Sanyogita struggled in Prithvis arms and ended up on the floor in the sand when Prithvi lost his hold on her and she had to smile when Prithvi threw his head back to laugh the sound so rare especially today that she didn't mind that she was the cause of his laughter.
'Aacha Baba, Booth ho gaya bass bi karo' she told him when he continued to laugh
'Nay, paley thum kayo ke aaj thera sisha nay thum kamzoor se' Prithvi answered
'Aacha hum thuj ko chota delsa de saki he' she told him looking over her shoulder as she walked to the entrance
'Jungliee Billie, khabi bi haar nahi manthi' Prithvi told her lovingly
'Such kaha thum ne or humesha yaad rakna. Isi taaktha se hum ko Prithviraj Chauhan ke jesa jeevan saathi ka saatha diya hai' Sanyogita told him seriously
'Sanyogita,Aaj Prithviraj Chauhan ko bi essa huwa ke such mein usi ke saath deena wale ko bi hai' Prithvi said as he reached her and put his arms around her and kissed her on the head.
'Aacha bass, challu hum chand ke dekhna dil kartha hai' Sanyogita said as they walked out arm in arm.
Arriving in the garden Prithvi and Sanyogita walked around arm in arm enjoying the cool evening air and just being together before making there way over to the swing. Sitting down first Prithvi caught Sanyogita in his arms and made her sit in his lap before she could sit next to him and before she could say anything he lifted his feet and set the swing swaying.
Leaning her head back on Prithvi's chest Sanyogita gave up protesting and insted turned her head up to look at the moon loving the silvery glow of it.
'Prithvi yaad hai jis din Nandani peda huwi thi, us raath chaandi ki kitne roshni thi, hum ko laga tha ke chand be humare saath jushan bana raha tha, hai na' Sanyogita said softly
'Hai Sanyogita us din ki roshini aaj jise thai, cha he Chand hum ko kuch baathan chatha hai' Prithvi answered her.
'Shiath thum teek ke raha ho' Sanyogita told him as she turned so that she could turn around and lay her face on his chest and then raised her hand to lay it over his topless chest loving the softness of his skin and being able to feel the beats of his heart, and thats where they both stayed until they heard Pratha.
'BHAIYA, BHABI' both Prithvi and Sanyogita looked around the garden expecting to see Pratha and then realised that she was at there bedroom window.
'BHAIYA, BHABI, Nandani...' they didn't here the rest as they were already on there way out of the garden back into the palace.
