The way it was shot with the light of the many lamp posts illuminating the space around them, them standing at the well. And then her with her back turned and him looking at her. The way she was hurt and she didn't show and the way he relieved at first but then slightly hurt, slightly offended the way she gave up on their friendship so easily.
"Ek galti thi.."
So typical of RV to term the biggest of the events as an accident or nothing worth talking about. And so typical of her to not say it and be politically correct about the situation and let the guilt eat her up, when she wasn't even at fault.
I am still in awe of the sheer simplicity and the brilliance of the scene. They talked it through, he said his side and she made it easy for him. Go on, choose what he wants. Why let a mistake ruin his happiness? Why stick with a best friend when his love is giving him a last chance? And he did. But why do I get a feeling he wasn't convinced? The choice is hard for him and maybe he just wanted some assurance that all will be well, they'll work things out. I don't think he expected to be told to give up on friendship so easily. The friendship which has been his life for all these years. Give it up, move on. Walk away.
And he walks away.
And she breaks down.
Man! Kunal and Palak! How can they be so utterly amazing in portraying all these emotions so well? They never fail to leave in awe of the their skills! đ
"Ek galti ki itni badi saza ke main Nonu se ab kabhi nahin mil paaoungi?"
Though she wasn't at fault, she'd still have to bear heavy consequences. Like she always does, like she always lets herself to bear. And he won't say it because he doesn't realize but it will be heavy on him too.
Tomorrow he restarts his relationship, not on his terms but someone else's terms. Terms and conditions which are basically everything that his life so far hasn't been. Yeah, it was a mistake. And mistakes have consequences. His life without her is his consequence to bear.
Damn, I'm just so excited!
