What makes this wedding even more enticing is the fact that the ceremony will take place over a period of 10 days in a private estate on the outskirts of Mumbai and a palace in Rajasthan.

Though, India has just witnessed the high profile marriage of Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar, still Indians are pretty desperate to see the marriage routines of their two famous stars.

Bollywood Item babe Rakhi Sawant is in trouble these days. She is getting life-threatening messages and crude phone calls. Rakhi is scared, but still isn't sure if she wants to lodge a police complaint.

It all started with messages, which she ignored as she is used to getting anonymous SMSes from people who have her number. But for the last few days, she is getting threatening calls and obscene messages. Rakhi is of the opinion that the callers 'use extremely filthy language' and even threaten to harm her family.

Though, Rakhi enjoys being in the limelight, but this time around it's look real and not a publicity stunt as is the case with Mika kiss controversy.

The Toronto-based Indian director, Deepa Mehta's Oscar nominated film 'Water' finally returns to its original soil of India after sparking outrage from Hindu fundamentalists, which forced Mehta to halt the production of the film in 2000. Mehta then secretly began reshooting the film in Sri Lanka in 2004 and premiered at the Toronto film festival in 2005.

The film about the plight of Hindu widows finally opened Friday across the country. Movie is being screened in 110 cinemas across India, the film's distributor Ravi Chopra said.

Chopra said,

It has really been a long road — first to get it made, and then to get it on the screen here.

Water is based on the ill treatment of widows who are forced to live in penitence after the death of their husbands. Water also highlights the exploitation of widows and how they are dragged into prostitution, giving a true insight into the lives of deprived women.

Mehta even faced death threats and her effigies were burnt when she was shooting the film in India.

Even when the film was making raves for its excellent performances the Indian distributors were afraid to release the film due to threats from extremists.

Now the film finally hits the Indian screens but no special security arrangements has been made.

Chopra said,

There have been no problems. If there are, we will deal with them.

So, Indian viewers finally get the chance to see the film.

Certainly, the puppy love between an older man and a young girl renders every single sole present in the cinema hall speechless! Well, this silence doesn't mean an unspoken admiration for the 'odd couple'. But it's an upshot of hoards of queries in their minds!

Ram Gopal verma, even after harping on the same string that this bizarre creation was not a copy of Lolita, cannot fool sharp-eyed audience any further. Instead, the director should have watched the flick (Lolita, the original one) over and over so that the DVD must now have a thousand scratches! This effort would definitely have aided him produce a great work.

Amitabh Bachchan, slipped into a passionate-photographer's cloak, falls for his daughter's lollypop-sucking-chum, played by Jiah Khan. When the old man beholds the young girl absolutely soaked to the skin while watering herself and not the plants, his camera does the rest. Slowly but surely, both admit their on-the-rise emotions for each other. That is still beatable. But when the illicit affair gets exposed to the family, the story confronts a major twist. Zor ka jhatka zor se laga!

The climax crosses all the boundaries, with the male protagonist still demanding to live for a few more days...in her old-age-crush's memories! Doesn't he care for his wife anymore, who has spent twenty-seven years of her life with him? And his daughter, who flies off to America as soon as his so-called-love becomes public? What all efforts does he go for so as to bring things in shape in his family? Nothing at all!

Apart from Amitabh's imposing performance and the great job done by the art director and the cinematographer, the movie has nothing to serve! The director should have put the accent on the script and screenplay of the movie, rather than opting for skin-show and sordidness.

Mahesh Bhatt is out with a new movie exposing the rampant fake killing of Muslims in strife-ravaged, India-administered Kashmir, the director told media on Tuesday, March 6.

Custodial deaths and fake gun battles of police are a menace in Kashmir,

His new movie "Dhokha" or Betrayal, will sensationalize on the big screen routine fake encounter done by Indian police against innocent Kashmiri Muslims to wing rewards and earn promotions. The movie is co-directed by his daughter Pooja Bhatt, which is based on a young Muslim man whose life is ripped into tatters by the staged killing of someone close to him.

This movie will get the truth about Indian police and will show that all Kashmiri Muslims are not terrorists. As far as my opinion is concerned, this is for sure that "Dhokha" will take quite a long time to be shown on the silver screen as it's based on a true story which shows the negativity of Indian Police as compared to Muslims. Let's see what happens…

Mani doesn't crave for an Oscar. This is not something the Hollywood would like, but Mani Ratnam has made it clear that he simply doesn't care about the Oscar. He has no reason to care about it, when that part of the world is not bothered about us, he pointed out.
He said:

Why should we care about the Oscars, when they don't care about us? We have our own film culture, which is very rich.

Talking about 'Guru', he said:

Rumours are flying thick that the film is based on the life of an eminent Indian businessman. It's all useless talk. 'Guru' can be anyone's story.

Mani also pointed out that there is no longer a clear demarcation between mainstream cinema and art films, unlike earlier days of Bollywood. It is now a mix of both. He said:

The earlier difference between art films and commercial cinema has almost vanished. Now it's a mix of both.

After about a week-long stay at the stars' favorite Lilavati Hospital, Saif is now back home with a new resolution of quitting smoking forever. Khan asserts:

I need to put my feet up now. I'll ensure not to take too much of exertion and most importantly, no more smoking because I have been told by my docs that smoking was the major cause of my poor health. I have settled on never to smoke now.

The wretched sight of innumerable bed-ridden-sick-patients with a host of chronic diseases around him has turned the actor into a health nut. In his own words,

I beheld such an atrocious view at the hospital, wherein the people were even on the brink of dying. That's a scene, educational enough to teach you how important your physical-wellbeing is! I'll make friends with my health now and be more mindful of my responsibilities.

Saif, who never visited anyone in a hospital before, is a changed man after his chest-pain-session. The actor has realized the importance of your loved-ones being around you when you are down. Well, life can teach you anytime and anywhere...be it a school or a hospital. Right Saif?

The game has just begun...but this time, with colors! Shocked? Don't be! The Badshah of Bollywood, Sh...Sh...Sh...Shahrukh Khan is all set with tinted hands and wayward attitude to endow his audience with the time of their lives. This Holi, the KBC host will welcome the two most amazingly beautiful ladies of the industry – Priety Zinta and Rani Mukherjee.

The game show starts the ball rolling with Shahrukh singing:

Arey tumko ka batai bhaiya... humra haal ka hai... Nikle the hum halwa khane, munh hi jal gaya hai…

Followed by a series of wisecracks, the anchor greets the duo big shots with imposing verses describing them. The actresses reveal the charities' names, where they would donate their winnings. The 'Soldier' girl will offer her money to the Himachal Pradesh Red Cross, whereas the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' star is planning to donate it to the Holy Family Hospital. Great plans indeed!

The vibrant episode packs the KBC ambience with stacks of laughter, fun, secret-sharing and much more! Before each break, Khan requests the dazzling ladies to say a few words in their mother-tongue, to which the twosome respond with quick wit. When asked about the kind of man they would like to marry, Priety and Rani let slip their would-be Mr. Rights' qualities they rummage around for. Truly, with such naughty tte--tte, I am sure the trio must have had a ball together. Watch out the colorful KBC with Holi hues for yourself!

The sensational, stunning Aishwarya's, and hot, sizzling Abhihishek's engagement is an existing big time news, in spite of their matchless horoscopes and meticulous smooch scene in Dhoom 2, there love is still in the air.

After all the controversies, their wedding is still on in force. There was a huge hue and cry after Dhoom 2 released, as Ash changed her modest and retiring image with this film. Aishwarya's change was not accepted with open arms by the Bachchans, but for bollywood, it was an excessive and enormous change for sure. As Bachchan clan was discontented with the fact that Ash was wearing skimpy clothes and also doing a hot smooch scene with none other than Hrithik Roshan in the film.

Well, I guess finally I have found out the reason why Ash decided that after she gets married she should retire into domesticity. As the Big B family appealed for the smooch scene to be edited from the film, it shows clearly why no-no movies for Ash!

Sources reveal that the bond between the childhood friends Abhishek and Hrithik is suffering a lot due to this particular smooch scene. Is that right Abhishek?

Whatever the reason could be, it seems quite clear that the Bachchans have already begun to pull strings for their soon to be daughter-in-law. Ash, all the best.

Bollywood's superhero and our very own Amitabh Bachchan will be honored with a special award in the international film festival, MAMI (Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image). The Big B truly deserves the honor for he has propped up Indian cinema in the global market. Mr. Bachchan will be bestowed with the award at the inaugural ceremony. His award is yet to be given a title to tone with his standing. What's more…Big B, along with the other Bachchans, will certainly add stars to the event!

The 9th MAMI festival, scheduled from March 8-15, has been backed up by Tina and Anil Ambani. Prior to this, the event was fighting back against the shoestring financial plan. Thanks to the Ambanis! ADAG Reliance is boosting in a great deal of amount in the fete, i.e. Rs. 1.5 crore. This event has been dedicated to the very first chairman of MAMI, Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

"Shilpa Celebrity Big Brother Shetty" has all of a sudden got her sack spilling over with scores of honors. Immediately after the tremendous fame through the show tagged along with winning it, the actress has been offered a lead role in the West End Musical Chicago. It is noteworthy here that the show includes geniuses like Ashlee Simpson, Denise van Outen and Claire Sweeney.

The dazzling glam-doll is still mulling over the offer for she has not sung so far in any gig. The show's producers have been in constant touch with Shetty's envoys over a pact, which calls for her to perform the murderous Roxie Hart. Their grave endeavors have led Shilpa attend singing classes.

What's more! The bollywood actress is enjoying even more fame in the global industry of late. After partaking in a Zee Carnival at Olympia, Shilpa would revisit London to chip in the Commonwealth Day on March 11. The actress will allegedly become a star-guest at the Princess Diana Memorial Concert this summer too.

According to the grapevine, the pop-idol-Shilpa bagged another invitation from the July 1 Concert for she hacked it to stun Prince William and Harry with the way she came out of the reality show with flying colors.

And to tip the scales, the soon-to-be-an-icon lady is being considered to turn out to be the very first face on the new Indian adaptation of Vogue, the fashion magazine.

Thai fashion model and actress Lena Christensen is all set to play the main lead in a new Bollywood romantic comedy, making her the first Southeast Asian actress in India's mega-film industry.

In last few years or so Bollywood blockbusters have increasingly featured western actors, with one, Alice Patten, playing the lead female role in the super hit 2006 release "Rang de Basanti." On the other hand, far eastern faces have been less common in the Mumbai-based film industry, except for the occasional gangster slot.

Christensen, who is pretty famous in the Thai fashion fraternity and advertising world and who has also released a pop album, said she was excited about her role in the film. Christensen will star in the film, "Bombay to Bangkok," which is about a Mumbai chef who ends up in the Thai capital after impersonating a doctor. Shooting will take place in both Thailand and India.
