I prefer twitter or facebook instead of bugging people on phone every other second

its different for everyone. i have some close friends who i text or call and some that live across the world i rarely talk to via facebook. best is face to face interaction tho.

and facebook is not just for impersonal messages lol, people use it to share pictures, videos, comments, promote stuff like your movies and songs too. and first of all ask your own family why they use facebook, then ask the rest of the world.

some moronic, narrow-minded, judgmental people think that people on facebook have no lives and tend to think they are better because they're not on it. to each their own, let them use it if they want to. to some people even texts and using mobile phones to communicate is distant and 'impersonal'.

And she's forgetting that calling and texting cost money. Its not free. And not everyone can afford to always call and text someone far away. Facebook & Twitter allow you to communicate with family and friends who live far way FOR FREE! Even video chatting through skype or hotmail or yahoo is free and more convenient.
