It's a strange combination. Plain looks and simple lives ' Amita Ka Amit is a marriage of compromise. They are not in love yet and have no hopes to be, but they care about each other, especially in desperate times. To quote Shahrukh Khan from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ' "Pyar dosti hai ... agar woh meri sab se achchi dost nahin ban sakti, to main usse kabhi pyar kar hi nahi sakta." So we believe the makers are slowly headed in that direction...or we want to believe that. Make them best friends first and then sneak in the romance. Although the concept of marriage 'for the family' makes it redundant, the chemistry between the leads makes this one an interesting watch.
