Those who have read this book and are aware of the original story of Saraswatichandra, please tell me does anything drastic happen in VC's family?
Why does Yash's mom always keep threatening/cursing VC & family that the girls will someday do something that will bring shame to the family and they themselves will have to throw their girls in the well?!
Such scene and dialogues have been repeated often in the show till now and every character looks shocked. The camera mostly zooms on Kumari's face who looks the most shocked of the lot.
Does it imply any impending sense of doom or something wrong to happen or be done by any girl of the family in future?
Does the novel have any girl from VC's family crossing all limits and doing something which is considered wrong and bringing shame to her family?
I am very curious about it because Yash's mom is shown to repeat this often and this moment is emphasized a lot whenever it happens in the show.
