Khushi's lunch was a failed attempt as Arnav has coldly rejected to meet anyone. Khushi was preparing jalebi when Arnav walked in, he asked her what is the occasion o make sweet and in response to that Khushi said only one thing

"jab bhi hum pareshaan hote hain tab hum jalebi banatey hain" (whenever I am sad I make jalebi)

Arnav was too surprised to react. Later in the night he finds Khushi writing in her diary and asks her what is she writing she says, " jo hum aapse baat nahin kar saktey hum ismein likhtey hain" (the thing I can't share with you I write in this diary)

After the series of short responses from Khushi he goes to Anjali to ask why is Khushi behaving so weird.

Anjali tells him that Khuhsi is helping him recover from his grief and accept the truth that a part of him has gone somewhere safe and you need to do is move on. Arnav inquires about her ultrasound and leaves for his room. Khushi is already lying in bed, Arnav sits besides.

"you came today in the office? I am sorry, I did not meet you''"

Khushi turns to him. He continues telling her what Dadi was to him and pours his heart out to her. Khushi listens to him carefully and the night passes by.

It's a new morning in Arnav's home. Khushi serves Arnav breakfast. When Arnav leaves for office he bids goodbye and kisses Khushi.

"'oh, I am sorry, it was spontaneous, I will meet you in the afternoon"

After Arnav leaves Khushi bites her lips. In the afternoon she calls her jiji,

"hello jiji, kaisi hain aap, amma, bauji, buaji aurr sab kaisey hain'" (hello, jiji, how are you? Amma, Bauji, buaji and how is everyone?)

"sab thik hain Khushi, tu kaisi hain, aur Arnav ji kasisey hain.." (everyone is fine, how about you and Arnav?)

"main thik hu jiji, aur Arnav jib hi thik hain ab, Dadiji key jane key baad thodey dukhisey they" (I am fine jiji and Arnav also but he was sad after Dadi's demise, he is ok now.)

"tu samhalrahi haina unhey" (Are you taking care of him?)

"ha jiji, aap sey ek baat poochu ?" (yes, I want to ask ou something)

"ha Khushi kya baat hain?" (yes Khushi, what is the matter?)

"jiji humey na aaj kal bahut ajeeb lagta hain, jab bhi Arnav ji paas hote hain dil jod sey dhadakna suru kadeta hain, aur to aur humney unsey apni diary bhi share kardi, who dukhi hote hain to humey bhi dukh hota hain, unkey har aaso humey chot pohchatey hain, unhey khush karney ko dil karta hain, yeh kya ho raha hain jiji humney kabhi yesa mehsus nahin kiya tha" (jiji, I fell so strange nowadays, whenever Arnavji is with me my heart pumps so hard, even I shared my diary with him, when he is sad I become sad too, his each and every tears hurts me, I wish to make him happy. What is happening to me jiji? I have never felt like this before.)

"pagaal ladki, tu Arnavji sey pyaar karney lagai hain, tuney kya apney feelings key bare mein unsey kuch kaha hain" (Mad girl, you are falling in love with Arnav, have you shared your feelings to Arnav?)

"nahin jiji'.lekin jiji kya tum jo kehrahi ho who sach hain..kya hum Arnavji sey'" (no jiji...but are you what you are saying...do i really...)

"toh kehdo unsey Khushi, humey yakeen hain ki woh bhi tumsey bahut pyaar kartey hain" (why don't you tell him, I am sure he loves you too)

Morning

When Khushi closes the door behind him, Arnav gives his oh shit look and smiles after that. He is smiling throughout his journey to office. It has been quite a while he has genuinely smiled. In the afternoon, when his secretary calls him telling a lady has come to visit, he thinks its Khushi but when the lady enters,

"hi, ASR"

Arnav is too shocked to see her. The lady comes to him hugs him and kissess him in his cheek.

"How are you ASR, I missed you so much, so what have you brought me from India?"

"Sheetal, I can't talk to you, remember we broke up"

"ASR... it was childish of me, I am sorry, when your mom called I realized I did a mistake, so as soon as I finished my photo shoot I came running to my baby" she tries to kiss him when he waves her.

"You realized it late, I am married now"

"what! how could you? And your mom did not say me anything. Who is she? Is she more beautiful than me, do you even know her? What's going on ASR? I have to be with you right, I love you ASR"

"No, you don't have to be with me and you don't love me, may be you liked me but.."

Arnav's phone rings. Its Khushi, Sheetal sees the caller id,

"Oh so her name is Khushi"

Arnav picks the call. Shetaal bids goodbye which Khushi hears her and asks about her which Arnav lies about her being a client, Khushi tells him to come home early and Arnav agrees and they end the call. After Sheetal is gone he thinks for a while and calls Sheetal.

Arnav comes home late, Khushi waits for him but later falls asleep. tomorrow morning at breakfast table Khushi inquires with Arnav at what time did he came, she waited for him as she has an important matter to discuss with him.Arnav tells her he had an important work to attend to so he got late. When Arnav leaves for his office, Khushi too comes out. She goes to a shopping mall and enters a watch shop she shops for a male watch. Then she enters a restaurant where she meets Arnav's mom.

Flashback

Khushi, "kaisey kahey jiji, humey yeh san kuch aata bhi nahin" (how jiji, I have never done this before)

Payal, " tum Arnavji key liye ek gift kharido unhey woh dena aur batadena ki tum unsey pyaar karti ho, simple" (why don't you buy a gift for Arnav and then tell him, simple)

Khushi, "gift denesey baat ban jayegi kya jiji" (will it solve the problem)

Payal, "ha, tumhare jijaji pey toh yahi nuska kaam karta hain" (yes I usually do this to your brother-in-law)

Khushi, "majak mat kijiye jiji, hum rakhtey hain" (jiji, please don't joke, I am ending the call.)

After Khushi ends the call, Khushi calls Arnav and asks him to come home early. After that she recieves a call from Ratna who ask her to meet tomorrow after Arnav goes to his office.

Ratna and Khuhsi sits down. Ratna tells her that she has an important thing to tell her. She takes Khushi outside of the restaurant and they walk down the street near a coffee shop. Ratna tells her,

"You know Khushi, Arnav was never meant for you"

Khushi was too shocked with her direct approach but she remembered dadi's words that Ratna is not bad just hurt.

Ratna continues, "tum mere bete key layak nahi ho, mere beteney tumsey 2-4 mithe baatein karli to do not think that ki tumney uskey jiwaan mein jagah banali, he already likes someone aur tumsey shaadi usney sirf ma key kehney pey kiya ta, ab toh woh bhi nahin rahi to tum samajh sakti ho aba tumhari humey koi jarurat nahin hain" (you are not suitable for my son, don not mistake his sweet talk as his likeness, he married you only for Dadi and now she is not here so your purpose is fulfilled, leave my son alone )

Khushi is totally shattered and all teary and top of that Ratna shows Khushi inside the cafe where Arnav and Sheetal are sitting together and chatting. Khushi can't believe her eyes. She begins to cry. Ratna leaves her shattered in the road. Khushi returns home crying all the way. She tosses her gift aside and starts crying hiding her face inside her palm. Her inner voice says,

"itna dard kyun ho raha, hey devi mayya, kya ho raha hain hum saans kyun nahi le pare rahey, humney socha bhi kaisey Arnavji humsey pyaar karengey, hum kitney alag hain ek doosre sey, hum unkey layak hi nahin hain, devi maiyya bas sehnahi payengey hum, is dard ko kaam kardijiye [she clutches her hand to her heart] kyun.. kyun itna dard ho raha hain, kya pyaar main itna hi dard hota hain" (why is it paining so much, hey devi maiyya, what is happening, why can't I breathe, how could I think Arnav will love me, I am not suitable for him, devi maiyya I can't bear it, please make it stop, why...why it hurts in love )
