He's Amazing ~ Part 75
It was the next morning. Arnav had spent the night in NK's room. Pooja had come looking for him wanting him to sleep in the same room as her, but he refused to do so.
Pooja walked into Khushi's room. Khushi was getting dressed and looked up to see Pooja sitting on her bed.
"What do you want?"
"Nothing just thought we could talk Khushi."
"I don't want to talk to you, get lost."
"Oh, don't be like that. What will my baby think? It'll think it has some horrid family members."
"I'm no one to you and I will be no one to your baby either."
"But you will be someone. You are the baby's dad's real wife."
"And what?"
"Well you are some way connected to my baby aren't you?"
"I don't think I am. Nor do I think that Arnav is the baby's dad. I've been thinking about it all night. I refuse to accept now that my husband is the father of your baby."
"Oh, Khushi, you are simply in denial that your husband touched another woman. But I assure you, that the baby is Arnav's."
"I don't believe it is."
Pooja was going to say something when Arnav walked into the room. Pooja threw her hair back and smiled at Arnav who ignored her and walked to Khushi. Arnav kissed the top of Khushi's head.
"Good morning babe."
Khushi smiled and then turned to Pooja.
"Can you leave please? I wish to talk to MY husband."
Pooja smiled bitterly and then left shutting the door behind her.
"Khushi I…"
Khushi pressed her finger to Arnav's lip and then walked to the door. She jerked the door open and Pooja came tumbling into the room.
"I asked you to leave, not stand outside and listen."
Pooja huffed and walked away. Khushi left the door open this time.
"Arnav, I just wanted to apologise for the way I reacted yesterday. I know I'm not justified, however I hated the idea that I might lose you to her and her baby. I know your innocent. And I'm damn sure that baby isn't yours and I will get to the truth."
Arnav literally jumped and hugged Khushi. His hands burned a path down her body. Arnav broke the hug and smiled at Khushi.
"Thank you, thank you so much. I was so confused; I didn't know what to do. I hated to think what I would do without you by my side. I need you Khushi, without you I wont be able to get through with all of this stuff."
Khushi wrapped her arms around Arnav and moved close to him. She looked up at him and then pressed her lips to his. Arnav held Khushi by the waist and kissed her back, deepening the kiss for them. They pressed against each other, wanting to remove all the air between them. When they both needed air, they broke apart.
Khushi took Arnav's hands and pressed them to her lips.
"I've been horrible to you Arnav. I know I have. I get so suspicious so quickly and I know I shouldn't. I'm not good enough to be your wife, I know I'm not, but I have you, and I'm not going to let you go, not now, not ever."
"Khushi, the way you reacted, I understand. I'm fine with it."
"No, I was wrong, I am wrong. I was awake all night, thinking about how I treated you. But then I called Lavanya and I talked to her and she helped me look at things, helped me put a lot of things into perspective. From now on, I will believe everything you say and I'm going to stand by you no matter what. That's my promise to you Arnav."
Arnav hugged Khushi. He held her close to his body.
"We'll get to the bottom of this, I know we will Arnav. I'm telling you know, that kid isn't yours. I have a feeling."
"Khushi…"
"Chote, Khushi, come down, NK and Lavanya have arrived!"
Khushi broke away from Arnav and rushed down the stairs and hugged Lavanya.
"I missed you so much La! Why is it your not here when I need you the most?"
"I'm sorry babe. Khushi are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. After talking to you, I got my head straight."
Pooja walked towards where NK, Lavanya and Khushi were standing.
"Hi NK, hi, Lavanya, we've met before, I'm Pooja!"
NK growled and looked to Mamiji.
"Maasi ji, why have you people allowed this girl into your home? Do you really want her to ruin Nanav and Khushi bhabi's relationship?"
"Er, NK shh, it's got nothing to do with any of us. Dadi has made the decision."
NK walked over to Arnav and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Nanav mera Bhai, we trust you and we know this girl is a fraud."
Pooja looked annoyed.
"Excuse me! It is not my fault I am having your brothers baby! If you really have an issue remind your brother that it's his fault we're in this situation. You teach him how to keep his pants on and everyone will be happy."
Khushi approached Pooja and slapped her hard across the face.
"Don't you dare! Don't you dare make my husband sound like some womaniser! I swear you say anything of such again; I'll slap you so hard your teeth'll come flying out. You get me?"
"Oh, ho, someone thinks she'll slap me and get away with it. I will make your life hell Khushi Kumari gupta Singh Raizada. I will finish you. By the time I have this baby, you'd have left this house and Arnav for good."
"You really think I'd leave my husband for scum like you. Pooja, I will expose you, even if it's the last thing I do. You're just a sad little b***c that doesn't understand the meaning of love and cant see other people happy."
Khushi turned to Arnav and saw that he had no sympathy for Pooja so continued.
"You might have been Arnav's best friend at some point, however, I tell you know, he regrets ever offering his hand to you for friendship. He hates you Pooja and he doesn't want a s**t like you around, so I would suggest you pack your bags and be off you dirty little w***e.
Before Pooja could say anything back, dadi walked into the room.
"Khushi! How dare you call a pregnant woman such horrid things? Everyone told me you were a lovely girl from a good family."
Anjali walked towards dadi.
"Dadi, Pooja provoked Khushi, otherwise she wouldn't have said anything like that."
"Rani saaiba is right, Pooja ji was speaking to Khushi ji in an ill mannered way."
Dadi turned to the only responsible adult there.
"Is this true Manorama? Is this what really happened, was Khushi really provoked?"
"Oh yes! Khushi bitya would never speak ill of anyone like that!"
Khushi turned to mamiji and smiled, trying to thank her non verbally. Mamiji nodded and turned back to Pooja. Dadi spoke again.
"Pooja, I am only keeping you in this house because you are carrying the heir of our family, however I will not tolerate disrespect to any of the family members and I want you to leave Khushi alone."
"Ji dadi ji."
She would have to move carefully. To get rid of Khushi now would clearly be hard, but it had to be done!
