The original description of the show stated, "The story revolves around the fallen hero Kunal Chopra, who has lost his zest in life due to his failures. Dejected , he begins to feel as a failure amidst his family and the society at large. Watch the story unfold as Kunal finds his way in life."
Upon reading this, I imagined story would contain existential concept. Here is a man who has lost all of his possessions. He has failed to fulfill all of his roles such as lawyer, son, responsible family member, lover and even member of society. These roles help an individual gain sense of identity. Kunal can not be such an individual as he feels dejected due to his failures.
So now the question becomes, who is he? This concept points at most essential matter, individual must have sense of Independence identity beyond such roles. If you may, a rope that binds all of these roles into one being. Truly marvelous concept I would say.👏
I imagined along the way we may get to see something like Guide movie climax scene. "Maut Ye Khayaal Hai Jaise Jindagi ye Khayaal Hai ! Na Sukh hai, Na Dukh Hai Na Deen Hai, Na Duniya Na Insaan , Na Bhagvaan Sirf Mai Hoon, Mai Hoon, Mai Hoon, Mai Hoon...Mai ..Sirf Mai !!"
I don't mean to say I want Kunal to leave everything and became a sage. But given that Kunal has lost sense of identity and what life consists of, story was suppose to explore his path, struggle and conflict as he tries to find his way back and regain sense of identity. Story that shows us slowly Kunal himself learns to accept himself. This journey was accompanied by Siddhi, his soul mate as she helps him find his path.
So truly an inspirational gatha for an individual and couple as well.
I don't know about other, but I don't think I saw that. Kunal finding his Parichay simply does not mean gaining professional success, wearing fancy clothes and living in nice house. No, he had all that but above those things there was something else. His true self that survived even when everything else collapsed and Kunal needs to actualize that self. But I did not see that.
That tells me it is not done yet. You read correct, story is not done yet. Simply gaining professional success so you move into bigger house and family starts laughing all doesn't mean story ends. Kunal's Parichay can not end like this when so much more is left to explore.
It is my request to all Parichay fans to make an appeal to give us Parichay Season 2!!!!
