Why only Celebs? Why not ordinary people?

Hello 😊

I was just wondering, would you guys have started watching come dine with me with ordinary people opposed to only celebrities? Or is it of great importance to audience to have the celebrities for the content of the show?

dear, trp ke liye ye log kuch bhi karega... they want to show their fav celebs in another roop... they want to see how they are in real life etc.. and viewers get attracted to those with celeb shows than non-celebs

This is India. Indian TV is nothing without celebrities hence why anything that is reality HAS to include celebrities otherwise there is no point. Look at Bigg Boss, even that has celebrities compared to the UK version Big Brother with non celebs. The only show I've seen on indian TV without celebs is Ma Exchange, but even that was half celeb, half non celeb. KBC to an extent is non celeb, but thats different.

I would have preferred if it was non celeb too because it would've been different and similar to Come Dine With Me, but never mind.

well who would have watched it then? I mean I wouldn't have even known that a show like this existed had my fav star not been in it...

So well the answer is most likely no!

cz when non-celebs r involved it is usually a talent contest either like singing, dancing or exceptional culinary skills...here none of those r available...
the only attraction I see is the celebrities in it... it would have been so boring with some XYZ random people...i would have never glanced twice at it had I come across it then.

I guess people wouldn't have watched it. Come done with me, big brother etc are watched by everyone coz the channels do not really count TRPs.

+ the audience would more likely watch the celebs in action in India. I prefer come done with me any day however when someone u like is a part of the show u automatically wanna watch it.
