imbalance and inconsistency - real hindrances...

IMBALANCE and INCONSISTENCY - by now everyone came to the same conclusion.. that these two are the strings pulling the show down the charts to rock bottom...

I know, there might be many posts on TRPs.. just woke up .could not read through all ..if my views are already posted ..i am sorry...

Whatever happened has happened.. the expectancy of the TRP audience was not met and hence the numbers..Just tried to ANALYZE what went wrong... in REALITY

what could have gone wrong with the track, specifically from TRP audience,.. aam indian women..who are khaas in deciding the fate of the show...😆

-the ABORTION, i say time and again, it hit the raw nerve of the audience...the TRP audience have never seen such thing as abortion by female lead ever on INDIAN TV.. ..It has always been MISCARRIAGE,..which would get sympathy to the lead character, but abortion for whatever reason did not garner any sympathy to the lead character nor any TRPs..

this is again a bold step, for Indian audience ..may be it was brought ahead of time on small screen...5 years down the lane .. the same thing will be appreciated... but now is not the right time for ABORTION by female lead...to appeal to the INDIAN audience

As such ABORTION is done, by young girls who are pregnant out of marriage..and by the negative leads for SELFISH reasons...but not by an ADARSH BAHU...so IT DID NOT WORK

and the whole CANCER track is handled in a pathetic manner...for which I am really ANNOYED...

COURT ROOM DRAMA - much western concept not for Indian audience...though i liked it being here and used to watch the American shows😛 but we do not cater to the TRPs ...wohi banao jho aam Indian women loves to watch at dinner time😆

and not to forget OTT DIALOGUES..normal Indian Viewers are not used to watch such OTT dialogues between sisters or siblings...which everyone agrees, there is a difference between sister being a shadow and not able to leave her sister after marriage.. but sister going through veins and dil ka dialogue would have left many of them 😲 at dinner time...

last but not least VIRAT's CHARACTER being taken for a toss..since the simple thing .. when Maanvi jerkily wakes up from sleep in yesterday's episode... any normal human being with normal brain would expect Virat to take her into his arms and calm her down and put her to bed.. but I was 😲🤢 come on yaar.. those are basic instinctive, spontaneous human reactions in a situation ..which comes spontaneously even in deep sleep..and it takes real effort to sit the way Virat was sitting by her side ,...

anyways.. as Virat said, zindagi badi honi chahiye lambi nahin... even his scenes need not be lengthy.,(specially in this track). but they should have been subtle and poignant...which appeals to everyone ..

so these little things went very much AGAINST the show...

and please no ONE couple is reason for TRPs... it is the SHOW, the script,, the screenplay, the pace, packaging, continuity, consistency.. logic.. everything is needed ...

coming to the gist of what went wrong ...

lack of VirMan emotional scenes - AGREE
behana's OTT dialogues - AGREE
Abortion and NOT miscarriage - AGREE
Court Room Drama - AGREE
Inconsistency - AGREE
Continuity - AGREE
lack of Balance in the jodis - AGREE
pathetic cancer track - AGREE

too much or too less of anything spoils any dish...

and wishing for the show to dip in TRPs after all, VirMan also belong to the same show,.. if the show ends.. they will never come together again ever again..

at the end of it - be FANS and not be FANATICS

-take it easy everyone... life does not end here, for SM, for CVs, for Actors, for SP or for us 😊
A new day.,.. new track. new TRPs.. 😛

you managed to put down all my feelings into one post...🤗

Briliiantly written 👏

True, it is the INCONSISTENCY which is killing the magic of the show.

Consistency can do wonders, even for the most dull show on the planet.

Forget show. Take our own lives. There's no progress without consistency.

If you have to move ahead, you've gotta follow a routine. Without which, surviving life, becomes next to impossible.

The CVs need to understand that.

There were so many aspects that contributed to this!

Yes! The shows not going to end!
I've seen other shows which have had low TRPs for quite a while but is STILL in demand! 😆

You know what's scary? That they don't know what to do with the show themselves. Everytime Sid M asked for ideas, I was shaking my head thinking WHY do you want ideas. You are meant to have a frikkin storyline for one whole year! Now it's got to a point, I'll just let it out here. This is what people from the crew had told me. [b]1) They had a storyline for a whole year planned out and fair enough episode writers don't always stick to it but the writer who wrote the original story told me couple of months back when the ratings were dipping (mind you it's been a gradual process, one that should have been stopped before it got too bad) that Sid M/Channel were trying to get her back because they went WAY OFF TRACK and they were literally begging her to come back. How do you react to that? Here I was waiting to see how the main plot of the show will be all panned out and then I find out that really they have no idea at all! You can't bloody jump from one couple to another and not think that people will not question the consistency! Everyone saw the sudden change from VM to the Behnas again. An example of inconsistent and insecure writing! Sid M should never have listened to the online audience and I've said that so many times. TELL YOUR STORY! You know what? I think they also completely messed the chance to show more about Virat's singing career & and Viren's legal career. I remember before Vireka's marriage, Kushal said there is a lot to come still and he mentioned Virat & Viren's occupations. Heck they even delayed Manvi's cancer revelation to the audience by 2-3 months!

really Reema?

This is how bad the situation is right now? They don't have fixed storyline?

And here we are complaining of low TRPs...when there's no story, how can there be a show?

How can one survive fr so long without a proper script?

It's pathetic.

They did have a fixed story but even though I can give them a benefit of the doubt as no-one 100% sticks to their storyline but because they went so off track they started having problems. After VM's confession, did you notice how the focus was shifted back on to the OTTness of the Behnas again? That's why the roka promo was more focused on the sisters too and it kind of also showed that the audience blatantly warms up to weddings & celebrations because TRPs went up to 3.4! Maybe after that it got too depressing, I don't know. But yeh, they've messed it up themselves! From what I gathered, Manvi's cancer was supposed to revealed to us either during JV's wedding or soon after. Not dragged!

True. You've got to show what you want to show, not what the audience wants to see.

Online fans don't even contribute to TRPs. Agreed, they keep the fandom alive, but when a show is produced, especially on a channel like StarPlus, it's supposed to have a fixed format.

People watch it daily, along with their routine dinner. They expect to see a proper story, not haphazard jumping from one couple to another.

*Not to insult/make fun of any show* I would like to point out how a show like Diya aur Baati hum, started off low...but now, because of their solid storyline, look where they're reached.

Without a solid story, you cannot go anywhere..No matter how many fans you have, no matter how many forums you have dedicated to you.

if they had stuck to their storyline -it would have worked. After showing M's symptoms during J's wedding they left till too late to reveal cancer. as everyone is saying they always sacrifice one character for another- in Mumbai track they totally butchered J.

Good post once again Munni. Neatly explained. Loved it😊

About the CVs going with the conviction, I highly doubt any single hindi show follows that(except DABH). Every serial runs behind trps. VirMan brought trps because they were fresh and unique, to top it all real. So VirMan were kept in the focus until bald track(though the leads were supposed to be behenas) which did them all good in terms of trps. But again, VirMan dint work in the 7 day track. The reason -- bad script, bad screenplay and was dragged more than necessary. What followed was again a lame track. J convincing Vadheras to accept VirMan and JeeMan missing each other on rakhi. Again dragged unnecessarily. TRPs down as expected. So they squeezed in VirMan roka and engagement. As we all know the audience love wedding celebrations, TRPs raised as expected consecutively for 2 weeks. Suddenly CVs remembered that their leads are JeeMan. Again, they miscalculated that just like the bald track which was one of a kind, Jeevika's balidaan track will be a hit. Frankly, though I was not in favour of the abortion track, I never knew the general audience will take abortion this sensitively. So my conclusion is even if the PH wants to go by their conviction, the channel will never ever let them.

To be honest, I watch this show for VirMan. I could never connect to the sisters. Though I like their happy scenes, most of their other scenes were OTT (just my opinion) except for the cancer revealation scene, which I intensely liked and the only scene I cried along with the sisters. By all this what I am trying to tell is, I would have been watching only VirMan scenes in YT, if they had always kept behenas in the main focus, because this is clearly not my cup of coffee. There was a a time where VirMan clearly seemed to be the leads. The whole Mumbai track and the bald track were dedicated to them. Well, no complaints from me. I enjoyed it😆 What I am trying to tell is, when the PH themselves have no clear idea about their leads, how can the fans?

I feel that if they pay attention to the consistency of all the characters, the jodi balancing will automatically fall in place. Example, if there was consistency in Virat's character, he would not have been behaving like a dummy last week and we would have got VirMan emotional scenes which means jodi balance. Same goes for J in Mumbai track.

To close it all, though I am losing interest, I still want the best for my favourite show. Hope everything turns out well atleast from here on.

Did I make sense at all?! When I read my own essay, I am getting confused myself😆
