Well, I have stopped considering Jassi an icon for a long time:

1) A sincere icon does not play cahoots with her boss to create a secret company....what's more, she does not reveal its existence because she is guilty....she reveals it just to embarrass Armaan, hence getting back at him

2) A sanskari ladki does not accept all kinds of love cards and expensive gifts from a man who is someone else's fiancee.....

3) A nice ladki does not get engaged without bothering to invite the one friend who has always stood by her to her engagament...what's more, she doesn't care that Armaan's parents are not attending their son's engagement...she only wants HER family and friends to be present...selfish idiot

4) A woman who calls herself the 'Miss Perfect 10" does not plan to have pre-marital sex

I have time and again mentioned that Jassi is simply a selfish, opportunistic hypocrite....she stopped being a National Idol for a really long time...

I agree with krangara that Jassi has been shown to be increasingly selfish
post makeover. Yes, I know that she was wronged but she is plain
careless and indifferent to the feelings of those who helped her also. She
has conviniently forgotten Purab, instead of being thankful and grateful
to him she accepted his help as something that was due to her. She has
time and again been inconsiderate of Armaan's parents feelings. It is as if
the makeover made her character over as well.

I agree with LoveVedant..I think that's great that you are open minded enough to step back for a second and look at the big picture..this is not a national crisis..and hate is a very strong word..use it for something that matters yaar...seriously..I mean i used to love the show..and i've watched every episode..lekin i don't hate anyone..i mean come on..rai ka pahad banaana to koi aapse seekhe...i agree premarital sex is wrong..and certainly knowing the kind of person Jassi is..we all got sucked into the fact that she slept with Armaan..has anyone on here considered the possiblity that she didn't sleep with him..I just feel like people are being way too critical..and making too many judgements...if everyone over the world felt this way about making things better in world..like finding solutions for poverty, hunger, polution then this world would be a better place lekin lagta hai ke logon ko Jassi ki sexual activity me zyaada diljasb hai..please don't take this the wrong way guys..cause you all are educated individuals...but i think we need to calm down a bit..

😛 It's about time the character of Jassi stepped into the 21st century.

The way they (T and D) were depicting her was like a maiden from medieval times. Now they show her with problems and choices that many modern young people have to make.

Agree with you on that Panchy...not to say that there are not still girls like Jassi..but we have to face many more obstacles today..

Also there was a reference made to Draupadi..and I don't see any angle in which Jassi and Draupadi can be compared...she was not only the wife of the Pandavas but also the sister of Krishna..don't you think it's kinda disrespectful to compare her to Jassi...but in any case who am I to judge..
