She is a nut case like her mother when it come to anger and not understanding or listening to others. I really hope Ambaji gets a take of her own medicine--her parwarish what she has raised. The apple does not fall far from its tree.
Even though Ambaji finally after 20 episodes realizes she was wrong, but come on gorw up lady and gice others a chance...

Well i agree, Hetal is a nutcase... but she is not like Ambaji. Ambaji is not an unreasonable person. I actually feel she is a very natural character. It is very normal for any mother to feel threatened after the arrival of a daughter in law. Whatever Ambaji achieved in the last 20-25 years - be it love, respect, importance or even a decorum in the household - could be jeopardized with Mona's arrival. Especially since she comes from a different cultural and religious background. Ambaji may have been impatient and at times a little too hasty in making judgements about Mona - she never failed to acknowledge her mis-judgements about Mona. She is very fair and not biased like other people in the household. That is why she was able to catch Aanchal's dirty tricks.
ON the other hand Hetal is a very self-centered person. She knows what a good heart Mona has, she knows how much love there is between Jhaiji and Vimmy - yet she tried to ruin it. She has never tried to adjust to the new household. She tried to hold her own customs and rituals - much contrary to what Ambaji told her at the time of her bidai. Ambaji clearly mentioned to Hetal to accept the culture of the family she is going in to and be like them. However Hetal has done quiet the opposite due to her Phui's guidance.

Couldn't have phrased better myself, especially Hetal. She loved Karan but never understood or tried to buid a relationship it's very easy to say I love you and stuff but a whole different game to build a relationship you have to learn to compromise and knowing which battles are worth fighting. All Hetal wants is that everybody agrees with her or else they're bad and she has gotten equally bad guidance from her Phui, who never let Hetal become part of Bedi family.

Hetal was so sweet and nice.I don't understand how her character can change so quickly.I understand at her Maayka, there is phui and baa who tells her loads of crap which has now gone to her head. But no woman would never ever steal from her husband!!And why should she,she doesnt have that much of understanding...and yes what ever is your husband's is yours. But if Karan had told her that bringing the 70000 rupees was hard for him and would take time, she should understand that that money in the cupboard was some other important purpose. And why on earth does she need a chain set at this same time now??What does she need it for for show? She should trust and understand her husband and not fall so low for any odd reason...hoping to see hetal back to her chirpy good self...I have a feeling after she see whats happen to phui she will realize her mistake but by then it will be way too late~!!

Frankly the CVs have made Hetal a very unbelievable character!! I am no fan of Hetal but ...really... stealing her own husband's money ...now this really takes the cake!! It would have been more believable to have Hetal confronting Karan and questioning him about the money and perhaps even insisting that he uses this money to buy the jewellery that she craves for !!

I really find it shocking to think that in real life a woman, and a newly married one at that, and one who is supposed to love her husband (it is a love match after all!!) - if a woman loves her husband even if she thinks he is a fool, she would still have some feeling not to cause too much trouble to him.
I would not compare Hetal with Ambaji. Ambaji is a class act - she is hard, she is firm but she is not deliberately wicked. She sets high standards but not impossible standards. And Mona is in a way fortunate to have a MIL who sets high standards - yes MOna suffers in the beginning but you can bet your bottom dollar by the time the series ends, Mona would be a great DIL, a good Wife and probably a wonderful mother in the future. Ambaji has set the benchmark and if Mona achieves it, and I am sure she will, it would be super!! But kudos to MOna because she is resourceful, and because she loves her husband, she is willing to go by the Gandhi household rules.
Hetal does not have the stuff that Ambaji and Mona are made of. But then of course it could be the inexplicable mind of the CVs.
