Neeru Sahni- This very day last year, Maan entered Geet serial and also in Geet's and our lives. Maan came. Maan saw. Maan conquered. Life for Geet was never the same again. Life for us before and after MSK will never be the same again. Thank you, Gurmeet, for making Maan Singh Khurana come alive in our hearts. He will always hold a very special place in our hearts FOREVER. WE LOVE YOU!"
It has been a year since your entry in Geet. How do you look back on the first day, the whole year and Maaneet's journey?
Maan: I didn't know how Geet would fare when I began shooting for it. And today, I am amazed that it's already been a year. This whole year and the entire journey, doing Geet and playing Maan, has been spectacular. I got love and support from the audiences, and all my efforts have paid off. The chemistry between Maan and Geet has worked. An actor always hopes and expects his show to be a rocking success. I am thankful to all fans who made this possible for our show, Geet.
Kalpana ' Oh, he looks so good in formals; his clothes fit him like a second skin. What a body he has maintained, curvy and delicious. Imagine what it does to teens if he has that effect on me - a 48-year-old woman!
You seem to have fans ranging from teenage girls to 50-year-old women. How does it make you feel?
Maan: [Chuckles]. I am very shy by nature when it comes to dealing with women, but I welcome fans from all age groups. I thank everyone who loves me and my work. I put in my 100 percent in my work, my shows, and when people appreciate it, it obviously feels good.
Aman - I like him in workouts and in desi too.
Vasuu - Desi guys look good in desi clothes
What do you think of your new desi look?
Maan: I consider myself lucky that I got to play Ram in my first show, and that now, I play Maan Singh Khurana, who dons so many different looks. Playing a Sardar with the getup is a novel experience for me. I have got numerous mails from Punjab saying they love the Sardar look. I am glad to see the response for this look. Any effort, when it pays off, seems worth your while. Working in serials in today's times is tough. You don't have the luxury of time. Everything is decided on the spot and shot in a day or two. We have no bank of episodes, so we work in a hurry and try to keep up the pace. I have to understand a character and enact him in limited time, unlike films - where you research, try looks, make a back-up story, etc. We locked the Sardar getup very quickly. I am glad to know people like Maan as Balwant Singh. This is the teamwork of the channel and our production house.
Neha -He looks so decent and charming or, I can say, a true gentleman in this attire..
Dinesh Talreja - He is just a perfect man.
What do you think a perfect gentleman should be like?
Maan: I feel a person who respects women is a perfect gentleman. Your mother gives you birth, and if you respect and love her, then it is the ultimate quality of a man.
Madheeha - He looks very handsome in this outfit. I love him very much. He is so cute.
Preeti Talreja - I feel that he looks very sweet in it.
Do you prefer being called sweet, cute or handsome?
Maan: [Smiles] I am fine with all kind of names and tags, as long as people call me with love. I welcome all adjectives.
Smriti grover - He totally looks like a cool Punjabi munda. This look really suits him. He is a complete man.
What is the most Punjabi trait you have?
Maan: Contrary to popular belief, I am not a Punjabi, though I was born in Chandigarh. My name is the most Punjabi of all things in me. Gurmeet is as Punjabi as it can be, and people feel I look Punjabi as well. However, my native town is Patna.
Neelam ' The office episodes were the best. Those were the backbone of this serial. Maan-Geet look the best.
Which were the most memorable office romance moments for you and Geet?
Maan: There are innumerable romantic scenes in the show, so it is tough to choose. Even if we don't intend to pose a scene as romantic, when the song Mahi Mahi is played in the background, the scene becomes romantic.
Aamir - He looks very hot and an angry young man with a lot of spunk and attitude...
Did you have to work hard on playing an angry young man?
Maan: Yes, it was tough. I am not at all like Maan. I don't get angry like Maan. As an actor, I enjoy working hard and enacting scenes that are different from my real personality.
THEseema1994 - Literally, I love every single style of MSK, but ' yeah, there's always a but - I love it when he is in his comfortable clothes.
Which look of yours did you like the most?
Maan: As an actor, I love all my looks - be it formal, workout, desi or Sardar. I would love that look which my fans vote for the most. After all, they love me for my work, and I would love the look they choose. I have got mails claiming that women like me in the shirtless avatar, which is cool. [Smiles] Moreover, I don't stick to one look in real life. I love experimenting even in my personal life, so every few months, I keep changing my look. I had a huge body and long locks in Ramayana, while as Maan, I have a stubble, a lean body, and cropped hair.
Geet - I luv him and the show. He looks so awesome, dashing in formals. I also like formals at work.
What are you most comfortable wearing in real life?
Maan: At a party, I wear denims, a jacket and a T-shirt, but it all depends on the party theme. When I am at home or casually going out, I wear comfortable tracks and a T-shirt.
Savanna Fernandes -Well, I love him in formals, to be honest. Lose those tight-fitting jeans and the high waist. Huge no ! Formal Stuff = Good ! Get a good hair style :(
Please share some of your style tips'
Maan: I believe you can create your own style. There is no need to copy anyone. Just go with the flow, wear what suits you, and carry it off well. Whatever you wear, you should be comfortable and confident about wearing it. When you leave home, think you are Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan combined.
Shakeelaa Banu - Pink shirts suit him.
Gurpreet Jassi ' He looks lovely in black and maroon shirts. I also like his sweeet smile.
Which colour do you think suits you the most?
Maan: I love black and white colours the most.
