Does an actor's personal life affect the way you as an audience or fan percieve them?

Does it matter to you if your favorite star win's a National Award one day, but is caught smoking pot the next day?

That he or she churns out commerical blockbuster movies but are confirmed serial cheaters in their real life?

That they appear angelic and heroic on-screen but have been known to have a foul-mouth and vile temper otherwise?

That your favorite heroine is rumored to sleep around for roles yet is the best thing to have hit the screens in a long time?

That they do breast enhancements, steroids to pump up their muscles, drugs to relax themselves, botox to hide their age and many other things that should not be mentioned on a public forum? Things that you would never approve in your own friends / relatives, but continue supporting a Star who indulges in all of the above-mentioned?

Do you support your favorite star because you love their films / performances or because you have a great image of them in your mind?

Will you change your perception of them if it is proved that they are not the goody-two shoes, cherubic angles they pretend to be off-screen, even if they continue doing great work as an actor / star?

Do you like your star / celebrity because they seem to have a great personality / character besides being good actors too? Or do you like them only because they have a good image (according to you) and don't care a damn about their acting?

I am much interested in reading your views.....

I feel very happy when my fav actor or actress is getting accolades for their films, if they win awards, feel bad when people accuse them of other things like if they r involved in a wrong case

like if Salman gets married I have promised my family, I will give them treat in a great place, I have told them this but thats the limit, whatelse can we do,he is sure not inviting me to his wedding so that i can celebrate it with him, so will celebrate his happiness with my family :)

For me yes. Like I have disliked celebs knowing that they cheated. Example is Ranbir. I use to like him, but now I like him but not as much as before. So to answer your question, yes Star's personal life affects me esp if it' serious issue like raping someone ect

If they do drugs, not so much. I don't think I will hate them just because they do drugs. But I will call them stupid.

@Lensi, I get your point! I have been through that phase when a star's personal life affected me, so I can totally understand what you are saying!

I had vowed to never watch Aamir Khan's movies when he left his wife....😕 I mean, how did it even affect me that he abandoned his wife and kids? I still loved him as an actor! But somehow, in that loving him as an actor and star, I also begun to assume that he is just as flawless a human being as he is an actor and that someone like him can never do any wrong!

But well, I was proved wrong and after missing out on some great movies by Aamir, I finally got back my senses and forgiving him for breaking his family, I started watching his films again!

But despite my best intentions, I have never felt the same for Aamir again! I don't think I can ever defend him in the manner that I could a couple of years back! Now I am quite neutral about him!

So I suppose, we do get influenced by an actor's personal life / actions in some way or the other!

Believe it or not, there was a member on the forum who still supported Shiney, even justifying the alleged rape!!!

So there are people who would oversee every fault in their favorite star, even if its glaring down their face!!!

Whatever the star does in his personal life. I seriously dont care.

It does not affect me or my perception of them.

Its their life and they and their near ones deal with the consequences be it smoking and alchohol related health issues, passive smoking, health issues related to surgical enhancements, drug issues or STD's.

My only concern is what they endorse in public. They should be careful about what they endorse. The reason for that is a lot of impressionable and young minds look up to them and try to emulate them.

Other than that all I care is what they deliver on screen. Yep. I am selfish. 😈

actors never really act themselves if u ask me cuz everytime they are in public eye they always act like 24/7 smiling,gigling and everything.if they caught doing something bad they like to defend themselves either its true or false but its really hard to believe them unless u r a big fan of them. their whole life is spent under cameras but they choose this life so they have endure it, i think they become so gud in acting it becomes hard to believe if they are acting or not. if someone has a gud image n a big fan following then its impossible. nowdays most actors r open with drinking,drugs,dating n cheating it doesn;t really affect them or they have a large following of big fans who trust them completely. . i do like some actors for their movies n acting but i never really care if they do something bad n have to pay . they are responsible enough to think on things they are doing n wats right n wrong n at the end they r only actors who portray characters who they are actually not. media also makes a small issue like a big deal n repeat it over n over again in news channel that annoys me. media also adds mirchi masala from their side if a couple break up or gets married they show the clips from their movies n write stupid captions like ranbir ne deepika ka dil toda n all repeating over n over again. they r big stars n all but if they r cool about it i dont know why media shows stupid clips about them over n over. once or twice is fine for me but over n over again every 2 hours is just wayyy tooo much in my opnion. i know they r interested n get trp's. hardly any of their news is true in many cases but the actors get publicity so ppl know about them either gud or bad.

Not really. I mean I sit here and bitch about PC's wannabe attitude and Aishwarya's iciness and Ranbir's double timing arse. But at the end of the day if PC does a Kaminey, or Ranbir does a Rocket Singh, I'll gladly go into the theatre and watch it. If the movie appeals to me, I'll go and watch it.Then I get back to my bitching again, sorry. 😆

Well, I have told my family that the day he will settle, we all are gonna have a great celebration at home, God knows when is he gonna settle down, but anyways abhi settle nahi kar rahe toh achchi baat hai, meri income baad mein badh jaayegi tab it will be more easier for me to throw a good party 😆
