Don't hit me. I said I wouldn't watch but did...okay I skipped over all the Rashi/Jigar scenes because I didn't want to throw up (on a diet can't afford to lose any food)
Here are some reasons why I think the show wasn't so bad.
1. We saw Koki at her most vulnerable. We suspected that beneath all that hard shell she was very insecure about her position in the household (totem pole). But finally we saw a crack in her shell. We saw how hurt she was by Chirag's callous and thoughtless remark. And by Parag not realizing what happened and supporting her.
2. Rashi's glee was another layer in her stupidity and shallowness. Her trying to turn Jigar against Aham was just another way she is going to try to gain her footing in the household.
3. The above two are things that have been building for a long time and now we see that the foundation of this house is not all that strong. The cracks are going to appear in each of the relationship - Chirag and Aham; Jigar and Aham; Hetal and Koki. Rashi will try to use the cracks to get stronger. I think this could be the next phase of where this drama is going. Someone mentioned batvara (division of property). I can see the tension between the mature characters building.
4. Aham - I know that he is going to yell at Gopi tomorrow but I have high hopes for Koki. Aham on the other hand has had a really stressful day. Chirag Kaka hurt his mom's feelings. His mom is everything to him...he has seen her sidelined all his life and has taken on the role of her defender/protector and he takes that role very seriously. He can't stand to see tears in his mom's eyes and today he saw them. He knows that the loss of the jewelery was very hard on his mom and when he thinks that Gopi is the culprit he just lashes out at her and takes out all his frustrations on her. I am not saying that he is right or that is the most mature thing to do but trying to explain today.
Now the look on his face when he realizes that it is Gopi, he is shocked and then devastated. He was starting to get feelings for her despite what he thought he knew and now the evidence is in front of him. If you see his face right before frame freezes on Gopi he looks really hurt.
I am giving this show one more chance. If Koki doesn't defend Gopi then I will totally write this show off!
PS: Notice the pistachio sherwani is back..so we have to watch! It was on some people's favourite list!
