well if maan and geet were just boss and secretary and then become a couple then the story would become very cliched. there have been a lot of serials in the past that had office romances so this would just be another one with nothing exciting or different. the dev track is introduced to make the love story between maan and geet more exciting and adventurous.
geet's character starts as a girl who has no say in front of her elders and has to oblige to everything they say or do. and that's how she has never been given a chance to be independent or strong and is thus taken for a ride by both her eldres and dev's evil company. but from there she rises to being strong, confident and standing up for herself with the help of maan. and maan being related to dev is another high-point in the storyline. so both maan and geet have to go through experiences that would test their love, faith, trust for each other. and we know that in the end, they would rise above all the deception, flattery and chose what is true and pure!!!! this whole journey where they stand the tests of time is what makes this story different and dev's track necessary!!!!!!

I know she's pregnant according to the village doctor or nurse that told her. But, I just hope its like a mistake or something. I know this show is showing a social message and I like that. But, I also, know that the child will create a lot of space and hurdles between Maaneet. I just think that they can still show a social message by not bringing the child in between. They can still show how an woman coming from conservative family oppressed and not being able to choose her own life partner eventually stands up for herself and becomes strong.
They can show the message that families need to look at the background of a guy instead of just marrying their girls off just becuz, the guy is NRI. They can still show that its not necessary always right that arrange marriage is the best option as her arrange marriage was a disaster and its eventually her fate that brings her to Maan who is meant to be. It's about showing that a woman isn't just there to be married off and to cook and care for her family. A woman can also, work and doesn't need to be dependant on anyone and can earn and support herself.
Like I said, there are other ways of putting this message across by not complicating things too further with bringing the child in there. But, even if they do bring the child as long as they don't drag too much drama on just that concept and too much rhona dhona. Maaneet love story should not lose its potential with the child's entry. We are getting some very cute and romantic scenes between Maaneet. Once the kid comes..........its going to ruin it becuz, it still brings Dev into the picture, cuz, eventually he is the father of the child.

I think Geet is going to Maan's girl all the way even with her past with Dev. The reason Geet kept bumping into Maan is because of her history with Dev. She would have never left her village if none of the thing with Dev didn't happen. I think it makes the story more interesting. But I can't wait till they finally get together.

It was because of Dev and his kaminigi that led to such situations where she had to leave her house and her family and come to Delhi.....where she works with Maan.....so Dev naami mishap instigated her to come and start life afresh....causing us to fall in luv with Maaneet deeply with the office track...cause I personally feel that it was the best track in this show uptill now, and indirectly Dev led to it yar....gotta give him credit for it
