just came off the telecast of the Finale...and it was quite a show...nicely executed, funny, sporting, well presented and everything...most of us knew the result already, so there were no surprises...it still managed to keep us hooked though, so hats off for that...👍🏼
what made me write this post, however, was the statement made by Nicole, which is still resounding in my head...that what makes Karan a winner in her eyes is the fact that for a man to keep coming back on the stage, knowing that he is not welcome there, takes strength...and deserves respect...my avis and siggies make it quite clear that i like Karan...and i have never been a blind follower, oblivious to his flaws...but today, i reckoned that if his flaws can be scrutinised by all and sundry, those aspects of him that deserve respect must also receive their due appreciation...
we have all spoken about humiliation for not just Karan, but many of the other contenders...and this is not to say that they had any less strength to come up like he did...this is not a negative look at anyone else, but a positive look at this one ordinary guy who happens to be quite popular, works really hard, and takes things in the right spirit no matter how potentially hurting an exterior they might be given to him in...and most significantly, he's the one guy who never questions or even comments on any of it, and just keeps taking it all in...he may not be extraordinary...he's just another guy, another human being like all of us...like us, he goes through the ups and downs life shows him...and like us, his extraordinariness lies in how he deals with them and still attempts to rise...and i think that merits respect...
it was great to have him on the show, and though he was not a perfect dancer, and at times the kind of things he had to hear on account of that and more, may have hurt him and those who love him, the dignity with which he left the stage today, especially after what he said to the Teen Deviyan, was something that won me over, and is something i truly respect and appreciate...tw...
the very best of wishes to you for everything you do, Karan, loads of good wishes to Shraddha too...and the very best of wishes to Nicole as well...!! 😊
P.S. This is NOT a thread meant to bash anyone...if you disapprove of Karan or his conduct or any other contender for that matter, you are free to express your opinion, provided you do not cross the line of civility...let's keep this healthy guys...😊
