Was just reading thru all ur answers to the questions given... really interesting ones, I'm glad I got the chance to know u better. Rly hope one day we get to see ur book published and on the top bestseller list... am sure u will make it there one day.
Seems like u are rly into social causes/serials. I'm not sure if u are already watch it, but if you get the chance... there are many wonderful shows on different kinds of societal issues that I'm sure u'd find interesting.
Balika Vadhu(colors channel) for example, I'm sure u've already heard of... but I dont think u r a viewer of it. If there was any show on television that I had to recommend, it wud be this one. Its a break from the typical soap. More than anything, I'd praise the direction that sphere origins have treated this show with... it always surprises me that they are the same people who made Saat Phere. But truly, this one, if not anything else on my list, is one to try... it'd really be sad if anyone were to miss BV. Esp the latest episodes, I'm sure they'd bring tears to anyone's eyes. The nice thing is that there is no lead per say, the entire cast is given their equal share of perfomances.
Uttaran(colors channel) is another beautifully handled show, not too serious, as the lead is a 7year old, but with a wonderful message. The story of a slum kid who makes friends with a girl who is the daughter of the lady her mother works for as a servant. This is another show I never miss, and I'm sure u'd enjoy too. It shows a lot of difficulties that ppl from such poor backgrounds have to face. A sweet and simple show with a meaningful message.
Jyoti (ndtv imagine channel) is a show with so much potential and depth, even though its not even been a month since its started. Story of a girl who is the breadwinner of her family, but even though concept seems same old... its really not. I didnt even plan on giving it a chance at first, but I'm glad I did. Touches on many social topics, and best thing I enjoy abt Jyoti is that the main lead doesnt take quietly if someone throws something nasty at her. She'd say whatever she had to say back on their face without caring... even if that had to be her own dadi. This is a show by sphere origins, makers of BV... so I can already see the potential this show has.
These 3 rly my favs, and I'm sure u'd enjoy them too. Do give them a chance if u get the time, esp BV... the latest episodes wud get anyone hooked. Their research put into it really has shown, as they have gone deep into the core consequences that widows in rural areas have to face... despite no fault of theirs. None of these shows r ones to miss, do give them a try!
