Also, CSK won only 6 games that's why no one is talking about this, but Sanju only performed in 3 matches out of 14, and he is getting 18 crores. He continued his streak of only performing in 3 matches this year too.

Coincidentally, all the matches that Sanju has failed, rarely has CSK won. This, knowing he’s one of the key batters and his performance will affect the whole team. This is why I haven’t been as vocal in asking him to be made the captain.

It’s not my contention that a captain should contribute the highest runs. A captain should be the clutch. He should lead the team by example. Even if the whole team fails, he should at least lead the team to a respectable loss instead of a demoralizing one. That’s what MS did for us I believe, apart from using his amazing strategies, using the best of all the available resources.

Rutu has talent, but needs more honing. He needs a good coach, some guidance. He has a lot of potential. He’s not arrogant, agressive or headstrong, at least as far as I have seen. (Although his post match presentations piss the heck outta me sometimes, ngl. Like bro don’t wax poetry about the other team, plssssss)

Making Sanju, just after one season where his contributions have been bare minimum — the captain is manifestly unfair to Rutu. That’s not the kind of franchise I believe CSK to be.

Fleming needs to get out. They should get some **consistent** (I’m so done with one match wonders) hard hitters, finishers and a little more strengthened bowling attack. But especially batting department needs more attention. The management needs an overhaul imo. Otherwise this will be the case every season. Ever since MS got out, CSK has not be able to get a cup.. forget a cup, we haven’t been able to get qualified for quarterfinals. I feel sad seeing people say dekho the team was only till MS was there (ngl, the main reason CSK’s fandom is because of him).. they should start standing on their own legs instead of flailing around like a leaf caught in a hailstorm.
