Mayil's acting while pregnant was totally pathetic. Considering she is older than the siblings in the house, her acting naive, calling out "paapa paapa," was cringeworthy. 
For once, she told the truth, and yet her past lying caught up with her. Her mother is still arrogant, not even the first scan had happened, and already she was gossiping that Meena is not pregnant. What will she do now?
Maybe Meena will get pregnant first. Senthil got a government job, so it is time for Meena to leave her job (usual serial cliches) and become a housewife. 
Maari was a unique character, and they made her similar to Shakti now.
Gomathi is honestly the typical Indian MIL. She is acting as if she were pregnant and lost the child. No empathy or basic consideration for Mayil. She acts as if she is the victim, no matter what happens. Even when Raji was telling half-truths to her father, Gomathi was more worried about herself than Raji or Kathir.
