Why are the standards for a ML so low?

I just had to comment. I lost interest post "Armaan's punishment" for the child kidnapping track, but this ludicrous track made me comment. Why are the standards for the ML so low? Is this supposed to reflect the standard of Indian men that future brides should anticipate getting married to?

Firstly, Mr Armaan romanced and gave hopes to Ruhi while being married to Abhira. Then he decided that he didn't want Abhira and again changed his mind; altogether playing with 2 women's emotions and lives. Then, he neglects Abhira after their marriage and then changes his mind. Subsequently, he kidnaps another's baby (along with his equally culpable brother) and deprives his wife of a chance to grieve their dead baby and plays with her feelings. Apparently he is supposed to be the best husband in the world.

Finally, this track takes the cake. Where is his professional ethics? He is not even a honest and dedicated lawyer, as proven by the child kidnapping track and now supporting his criminal mother. Then, he goes on to gaslight his wife when she is fighting for justice and is making it her fault that his mother went to jail and their marriage broke. This joke of a husband and lawyer is someone whom people are supposed to route for? What surprises me is that people still want Abhimaan together- why in the world would any wife want such an emotionally manipulative, corrupt and spineless husband? And defending him by comparing him to another character doesn't help his case- if you have to bring in another character instead of fighting for him based on his merits, that just proves how terrible he is.

As for Abhira, I have no words. What a hypocrite she is. I would have applauded and supported her against everyone if she had actually stuck to her guns and got her 'great sasu maa' punished for her crime. And called out Armaan when he was gaslighting her. Instead, she decides to bail her great MIL out. Her dialogue about being a good sister is such a joke. She lost the tag the moment she bailed Vidya out. Did she ask Abhir for his permission to bail Vidya out? After all, Vidya is the perpetuator of the crime against him. He is the one who suffered and lost his legs. Again, about being a great wife and DIL- it was supposed to be Armaan's opportunity to prove that he is a great person and husband by standing up for the truth and supporting for his wife. If Abhira wanted to be the best DIL, she should not have fought this case at all and should have simply told Abhir 'sorry that I can't help you'.

The Poddar family is another big joke- how toxic and hypocritical they are. They are supposed to be a family of lawyers and a policeman too- but keep quiet whenever a family member commits a crime (Armaan in the case of kidnapping a baby and Vidya of being involved in a hit-and-run). Someone needs to tear apart their reputation by revealing their kaands. And Krish and Charu are such a comedic duo- this is what happens if you just make characters the leads' sidekicks (which Krish and Charu are) or their enemies, they lack any character developments and look like caricatures. Scolding Abhir for 'splitting their precious Bhai- Bhabi' apart instead of scolding 'their wonderful Vidya maa" and calling out Armaan. And are people supposed to route for Abhir- Charu? Abhir will look like a joke if he falls for a chameleon like Charu.

And the biggest irony of all is people blaming everyone for the leads' failing marriage. It is solely their fault. I have always said that Armaan was a red flag and Abhira was immature- thus their marriage was doomed to fail. Armaan is unsalvageable. At least, Abhira could have been salvaged by showing her standing up for justice and her self- respect and if need be, find creatives could find a new ML for her. Instead, the wonderful creatives show her pining after 'the world's greatest husband' and begging for his forgiveness and acceptance.

I was called out a hundred times when I called abhira a hypocrite from the time she shifted to the out house.

Her morals , values , principles, ethics even love & honesty are adjustable ..if it was someone else than vidya who did the accident , abhira would want a harsher sentence ..if vidya had hit an xyz they would want out of court settlement ..if vidya was hit by abhir, abhira would see a day which is worse than the white day ..

When she didn't know ruhi is her cousin, she went all ballistic on her. Then it was ek hazaron mei meri behna hai between them. .

When she didn't know abhir is her bro , she got him arrested n was adamant to file a case against him but after knowing abt him, he was bhai bhai bhai mera bichda bhai.

She wanted to get ruhi a harsh punishment for a minor accident bec it was ruhi & the victim was some kaka chacha 🤣 but she wants to bail out vidya who's responsible for her brother's handicap 😵‍💫

And her worlds best husband. Arman sa..you've said it all..when 2 chars r despicable individually who would root for the Jodi abhiman ? They wanna divorce each other on smallest of pretext then not stand by it wasting our time .

This is what they did in anupama. Aunty anupama does the most horrendous stuff under the guise of ma , ma ki Chinta, ma ka pyar , and let her mil walk all over her even when she remarried , coz woh bade hain & bade galat nai hote..arre karo koi bhi kaand , don't justify it at least .

But Armaan had sex with Abhira, that's the only expectations from him, that's what makes him a good ML

The guy is a politicians son but he's a psycho. He married a girl when she insulted him due to identity mismatched. Yesterday I was going through the chapter which was supposed to be their suhagraat scene.

The guy hurt the girl physically. The girl implied she didn't want it. The fcker had a Phone call during the deed. He picked the call and continued fcking.

I loved how some readers were like he's a monster leave the girl. Some girls wanted the same possessiveness IRL and laughing among each other they need therapist for this.

So my point is fictional men standard was always quite low for us desi women. I guess we don't know any better so no matter the age we want these kinda sicko men who hurts you 100 times but 1 time he did well, we hold onto that and continue to tolerate all abuse. And arman is a abuser mind you. He could never balance relationships and had unrealistic standards from everyone. He couldn't live upto others expectations too.

And abhira lmao. Just like we like that one guy who was nice one time, we like these so called "fiesty" girl who fight for loser men like this. Cause divorce is sin. Obviously if you divorce you were weak to hold onto a relationship. So women stays and tolerate things and try to fix the men and relationships.

Now people will be like gen3 lmao haww. That was a different things. For starters abhira isn't dumb enough yet to drag krish or someone else to dangerous situation without waiting for police. But yep she did take out a newborn baby.
