To be honest Duniyapur has a lot of execution flaws. Direction is not great. But the chemistry that Kushal and Ramsha have is soooo good that it whitewashes all these flaws.

I applaud them for trying this genre. It’s not easy to do for PTV and requires so many resources and money. This is why they are doing some cop outs with action elements. Budget issues were definitely there I feel. But I think the performances and pace more than make up for the flaws. You don’t get any TIME to linger and think about the flaws which is a good thing.

And now that Ana and Shahmir story has started they’re all you want to watch. And the show is good that it always gives you their moments. Makes room for it. It’s so important in a romance to give the leads this space and time. And Khushhal and Ramsha are absolutely killing it ! 🔥

Yep this is one possibility. Another possibility is him shooting someone ahead of her who trying to kill her. Because you see a shot of Ana duck. She definitely doesn’t get hit by the bullet that was shot.

Exactly there's were some plot holes and things that didn't make sense but I really don't care about it. As u said the show doesn't give us the time to linger on them and there's practically no scene that is skippable- I've not not skipped scenes for other dramas before this. But here everything is imp and even the side characters have space and are not there just for plot convenience.

It always keeps going somewhere and what you think will happen doesn't happen. It is always on the move- the story, the characters and even the music correlates with a feeling of momentum building/ cool bg score you listen to while doing some work.

And AnaMir are such strong characters individually on their own that you would root for them despite them being in love or not and added to that not only is their love story & chemistry good but it also makes sense. And they are actual rational characters who are now in a position where they will have to do wild things to get their happy ending. It's so nice.

And the locations are so good. Plus the way they served us with the action sequence in the first episode- What. a. first. meet (that whole getting on the moving vehicle, Shahmir jumping off the moving vehicle while shooting, jumping down the wall and rolling and)- it was so good that I can forgive them for a few insensible/weak action sequences.

OMG the first episode served HARD on the action. Both Ali Raza and Khushhal were amazing ! Wish we had gotten more of them together but they were a fire combo on screen together. Nayab was ten times more impulsive than Shahmir is. He was a lot of fun to see. Then Shahmir’s meet cute with Ana which was basically him climbing on to her balcony to get stabbed by her A Duniyapur meet-cute through n through lol.

We’ve come full circle now when he breaks into her room again but this time she decides to save him instead What a parallel

And yes the locations are SO BEAUTIFUL. The bridge scene when Nimra escapes. The whole Nawab haveli is so grand. The tiny streams that run through here n there. You can tell its multiple cities and a lot of thought went through this. Just that shot of Ana and Shahmir as she helps him escape. It’s like a jungle with a little stream and it just adds to the romance and adventure

Them holding hands is the cherry on top
