Yumna ka PR is way better, they fail to see any fault in her caricaturish performance ever, but will point out slight falter in Wahaj's and keep on reminding their audience of the same

Good actors will always be praised and appreciated despite scripts and direction. Good actors don’t suddenly wake up and become bad actors. They are consistent and beyond the point of proving something to a handful of naysayers with agendas. It’s taken years of working on their craft and dipping their toes in challenging roles as well as mainstream roles. Koi thappa nahi lagaya hota and no matter the role, they bring something new to it every time.

Gentleman had the edge that it had a really strong cast and all performances were appreciated. In SMD, it’s all fallen on Wahaj because let’s face it, he’s the best actor among the lot. I loved the review because it brings home a few hard facts

- People are watching for Wahaj. Amina going “is anyone even watching for anything besides him?” is absolutely true.

- No role in the the past 5-6 years or perhaps even further back has shown a hero who’s an alcoholic. Wahaj taking risks and making bold choices and they talk about how he always experiments with his roles and challenges himself.

- you don’t see murtasim or zaid or hamza or Rumi or even wahaj. This is Bilal Abdullah. Completely different and played to perfection

- He is the only character who instantly hooks you and makes you invested from the first scene. He alone is the intrigue factor who’s going to carry this story

- the friends trio is the weakest link. Neither do they look like college students nor is the dynamic believable.

I knew story jo bhi hogi, Wahaj will get a lot of praise for this role. And he has a lot of range to perform and someone like him doesn’t even need lines tbh. That graveyard scene is a prime example of that.
