My reasoning - Mimi wanted atleast one of her gen 3 descendants to marry someone of her choice.. matlab full arranged marriage style.. where she knows the family or gets to know from one of her relatives, pitches the idea & gets them married.

I believe it was from goenkas for Akshu… then the Akshu gang and Abhi Neil met in that mask festival and the grannies also reached the festival… Abhi ne apni mammma ko Akshu ke baare mein bataya per baat arohi se karwayee video call per… manjari jo Apne heere/kaanch bete ko Baki mammas se zyada jaanne ka dava karti hsin,, thot Abhi was talking abt arohi and the rishta is for arohi too…,

And hence the tilak1 fiasco…
