Michael for his controversial personal life yes, but for his music he still commands respect.

My employer is the same Sanu ji....never thanks me for doing the work...just gives me my salary...a pay raise every year...a bonus every year....but Thank nahi karta....what a douchebag employer I have..😭

@bold, I agree, not only the singers but overall music scene. Where the individual bands or singers are not recognized if they did not belong to BW. In fact BW have very less singers, the biggest problem is that they only have one formula which they rinse and repeat, no variety.

by respect i mean super popular , in west tom cruise and micheal jakson are 2 different yet 2 influential people belong from 2 different form of art , tom cruise dont need micheal jakson , MJ doesnt need tom cruise stardom , they both are brand by themselves,

in india if we keep aside some popular indipop singers like at one point shaan , kk , sonu who once upon a time had an independent image with their private albums breaking the sales record on their own name and not on a shahrukh khan or salman khan name, that thing was better for singers because it created the brand equity ,

rest of the signers were highly dependable on film music and they have no platform such as private music which can make them individually a brand, a kumar sanu or a udit narayan they heavily relied on film music because their were no independent platform in india , it all started in late 90s and then after few years film music never let the indipop grow in india

by doing playback for actors a SINGER is lost they become just an instrument use it and throw it ....and in return if actor says that gaana toh hamare shakal ke wajah se chalta hai singer koi bhi ho ....

That's true, why one can not separate personal from professional lives of the stars. Can blame the paparazzi culture for that. I for one loved Michael Jackson for his music and as a performer.
