Everybody keeps saying that Alia is successful because of well picked movies, curated career from the begining itself etc. which is not wrong but people conveniently forget that a lot of actors who have the power to choose directors, scripts do not do well even with all the planning. Many actors with some clout approach directors once they are successes but not all can benefit out of it. So many things have to fall in place, just Alia calling directors and begging pleading them to cast him won't result in having box office success. There is no instant recipe for a successful movie.

SRK is obsessed with his kids. He will cross all limits and surpass AB sr in promoting kids and perhaps at older age he may surpass Rishi Kapoor also in defending his son and daughter from GFs or directors or media.

I expect Khans to fully embarass themselves surpassing Bachchans, Kapoors, Roshans in promoting kids.

The way SRK got Suhana a full scale Vogue cover even before she did any acting. Or got Aryan the Nike ad so soon.

Please don’t say that. I will be heartbroken if SRK is made a butt of all jokes. Imagine someone from gen Z in a few years opening threads on SRK using his clout to get Suhana roles pe roles. Nah man, I think he’s way smarter than Amitabh. I’m glad he did not get Kjo or Farah to launch Suhana in a big budget film and let her debut in an OTT multi star kid starrer. Now even if the film is terrible, everyone will focus their energies on the three star kids equally. See, smart cookie, 😆 I also don’t see him as the type to lash out at directors like AB Sr ( or Rishi ) does in case Suhana’s films flops . He’s way too professional and intelligent for that.

Wait till SRK turns 60 plus. Amitabh had also got Abhishek launched through JP Dutta and not some Chopra or Johar type big name nor a commercial film.

We all know what happened later.

Only Aamir will not promote kids like crazy and will accept verdict if audience rejects Junaid just as he never promoted Faisal or Imran like crazy.

Others will promote their kids or nephews same way as Bachchans, Kapoors and Deols.

Agree but think how many would be able to achieve so much without proper connections ? Having access to big directors is a HUGE plus and half the battle is won when you have their nos in your contact list. Alia did say that she begged SSR for a role . Ayushmann Khurrana said Kjo did not entertain him and got his staff to tell him that he doesn’t cast outsiders. Doors are just shut in your face when you don’t even any famous last name.
Though I will credit her for at least doing justice to the roles she got. She’s likeable and has screen presence.

No No No, this will not happen. I will start trending “ NotMySRK “ like DP fans started trending “ NotMYDeepika” when she signed that Luv Ranjan film 😆 He famously said in an interview that “ my children will never have a feeling of waking up in the morning and thinking they are self made , it’s a feeling I wake up with everyday “.
How many big stars including Big B think that way ?

Of course that is the inherent problem of nepotism, don't think anybody will refute that. Many before Alia have taken advantage of it, many after her will. She ain't the only one to do that. Thing is she has stuck gold with the opportunities she got unlike many others who faded away into oblivion despite multiple chances.

She could be jealous but what she said is not wrong though. Who knows what all compromises she has done to get opportunities in Bollywood . We all know that how her career was affected after the break-up with the super star .Not just her career ,but Vivek Oberoi career is literally ruined because of the influence of powerful superstar. Vivek is an insider but his father wasn't powerful enough to compete with the superstar.

But as many said, even her husband got many chances due to nepotism, but that doesn't nullify the preferential treatment star kids get. Alia is lucky enough to get Karan as her mentor and Godfather because his connections and influence in Bollywood is superior.

Alia's "Shivaaaaaaaaaaaa" is iconic. Aish could never.

Amitabh was neck deep in debt and almost bankrupt after failure of ABCL. 90s was his lowest phase. He had no money to launch Abhishek. He himself was begging for work from Chopras and even willing to do shit like Sooryavansham, Kohram, Mrityudata, play supporting role to Govinda in Bade miyan chhote miyan or do films like Boom to pay off his debts. Even KBC was considered downgrade for a big star like him to do TV.

It is sheer luck that KBC succeeded and Amitabh was also accepted in Mohabbatein, K3G and luckily also got tailor made scripts like Black for him. Otherwise Bachchans were down in dumps in 90s due to failure of ABCL.

Amitabh would never even start working again if not for ABCL failure. Even now he fears bankruptcy most which is why he works like a maniac and does any ad or campaign or film that comes his way.
