Will Brahamastra re-cement Ranbir's position in the industry

Ranbir was looking for a hit since 2018

Recent Shamshera was a flop

His career nose dived

Too much negativity surrounding him unnecessarily.

Will the good initial and a possible hit tag re-cement Ranbir's position in Bollywood , and will get him any closer to the popularity days he once had in 2013 circa YJHD time?

Or is it too late?

Or now people somewhat partially lost their interest in him or/and in Bollywood industry ?

Ranbir and Hrithik's stardom is very different from the Khans and Akshay. I think they both can massively enhance a project's box office appeal, if the project has any merit on its own. But neither can bring audience without a strong project. Regardless, much bigger than all others who debuted this century.

Ranbir is nowhere close to Hrithik in stardom.

War and Super 30 won on Hrithik's (and Tiger's in case of War) stardom.

Will see VV's opening.

Wait until Ranbir gives at least a few back to back hits before declaring him a superstar.

Semantic is right in bringing point that Hrithik can't bring the audience just on his own. That is what stardom is. He needs big projects like War, Agneepath, Krissh Series, Super 30. He couldn't make Kaabil a HIT, failed with Mohenjodaro & Guzaarish kind of films where he can't even bring it to FLOP Level, they were Disaster that too in this era where we have multiplexes(More screens).

Sorry. In a mood today after encountering a nasty piece of work on a diff thread. Should've kept my sarcasm to myself.

On topic: no. Ranbir is nowhere close. Audience comes to watch Hrithik in action. They showed to watch Brahmastra. There's a difference.

I get it, dekha tha.

My point is not to pitch hrithik down & lift ranbir up. If you could read Semantic's post, he has said both Ranbir & Hrithik can't bring audience on their own. What I stated is that Hrithik can't bring audience on his own and can't make a film at least come to Flop or Below Average status with his Star Power.

Ok see, For Bang Bang, hrithik got 24 Cr opening, Tiger got 25 opening for Baaghi 2, now both these stars came for WAR directed by Sid(Bang Bang) guy, opening was 50 Cr. Now see, that push on collection was due to big national holiday Oct 2 & both the stars coming together. Now if you see Mohenjodaro, Hrithik can't save that film from getting Disaster tag, itni stardom honi chahiye ke film FLOP or Below Average aa jaaye like what Salman does with Tubelight(Below Average) & Dabangg 3(Flop). That Stardom I was talking and I guess Semantic was also reflecting.

Abhi RK ki baat kari bhi nahi hai.

That's a question of how much Hrithik adds to a project vs Ranbir. Maybe Hrithik would open Brahmastra at 50 Cr. But as Billa said, not my point. Hrithik enhances the right project just like Ranbir does. Hrithik can't save a Mohan Jo Daro just like Ranbir can't save a Shamshera.
