Taapsee needs a reality check: she is quite right they are not Gods, if only she actually believed it. She is an example of actors being paid too much for their contribution to society.

I found her very strident. As she doesn't want to play second fiddle to actors because of her "stardom", I don't know why they would want to play second fiddle to her just for the sake of it. For every Sid Malhotra, there are many Nawaz Siddiquis, Rajkummar Raos and Venela Kishores: massive talent but not filmy good looks.

Sid's comment in response is quite level headed: if the role makes sense.

Using a similar argument, was Sam paid more than Keerthi Suresh in "Mahanati" even though she was not the star of the movie but the star offscreen? Was the role written specifically for her because of her fan following? It definitely was not for her acting prowess.

Samantha talks about kindness on SM and the trolling but the hypocrisy with her PR campaign against Chay using SM, is astounding.

About flower pot roles discussed (i.e, love interest): YMC was a gift to Sam. She subsequently built her fandom on flowerpot roles, something a male actor would never have been given the chance to do, before she was offered substantial parts in more female centric roles.

She just shot an item song. Do male actors get offered this? Max crores for minimal screen time? With all the offers her PR has communicated, she didn't need to do this.

Sam chilled out as the interview progressed. I think she has found her tribe in Bollywood. Was this a promo / plug for Sam and Sid in a web series together?

Interesting note: While the Sams and Taapsees were making big bucks, Vicky was catching the bus to his auditions. It's a pity flowerpot roles were not offered to him and he had to prove his acting chops first. This interview needed a Konkonna Sen Sharma.

I found Adarsh Gourav interesting. After the interview, I want to see his body of work.

There is a high possibility that Tapsi may soon join the Kangana Ranaut's league. 😂 Hope she doesn't.

In comparison to girls, Sid and Vicky are much level headed.

Unpopular opinion

Sam was terrific in Family Man 2, no doubt but I felt her role has given so much interest in order to attract the south audience, she was the star attraction. Having said that she was just amazing as Raji no doubt. I loved the 1st season as well.

In a way it's the first time she appeared after divorce. She talked about her personal life, plans as well. What do you think about this? Any changes in her behaviour you noticed ?

Don't know what has happened between them but I have a feeling Chay is going to have some tough time ahead. To handle this he needs to hire a good PR 😂

I felt that sam still has insecurities.did u listen to her comment, 'why?why me?I don't even look like others.i felt undeserved'..I think that paved path to her no.of plastic surgeries.if she denies it,she is fooling herself.her face looks different every year.

I'm sorry that she is separated from chay..but she is flaming the issue to garner sympathy.her 'my momma said' posts literally screams 'look at me I'm sad.look at me I'm strong.look at me I'm broken.look at me I'm picking up myself'..I think(and this is strictly my opinion) that she doesn't understand the blurring lines between public life and private life.she is serving every aspect of her life on platter.no one is interested in others life when there is enough going on in one's own life.she is behaving like a teen gf who broke up with her bf.its one thing to have child like curiosity and another thing to behave in childish manner.

Earlier after sam clarified the 'relentless attack' on her, everyone targeted chay for his infidelity issues..and they backed it up by saying 'I have a source'..even the people on YouTube channels attacked sam based on these 'trusted source' only.if it's wrong to judge sam it's also wrong to judge chay. agreed that they are adorable pair and we are curious to know what went wrong.but they deserve privacy..unless they open up we are not going to know the truth.maybe they will open up after few months..or they never are going to do that.its their choice and they strictly don't need our approval.

People are commenting over YouTube channels that chay got popularity after marrying sam.if you ask me(again this is my observation..need not be fact),their marriage is beneficial to both of them both professionally and personally.if chay got popularity sam got movie offers(oh baby, rangastalam, super deluxe) and respect and security.personally I believe both were good influence on each other.she sobered a bit and he opened up a little.alas it turned out like this.

Whatever it is I feel sam is overdoing a bit.and I don't think chay needs a PR.he is matured enough to handle it himself.that said there is a talk that Rana is behind the international project offer of sam.is it true?what do you think?did Rana stepped in to make way for their reunion?if yes then it really is a good news.

ITA!

i haven't watched "The Family Man" yet but will hopefully get around to it soon..

Hence, I'm restricting my comments to work of hers I have seen.

What I will say about Sam and FM2 is that I was taken aback by how she responded to the backlash when the trailer was released. I think this was the reason Amazon issued the gag order against her - to avoid alienating more viewers.

This issue of the extent to which an actor is responsible for script content was addressed in the interview by Sid and Vicky. Now that I think of it, it was done deliberately.

I tend to agree with Vicky's more nuanced / conditional version of it than Sid's. My view is that an actor has a responsibility in script selection. It is incredibly naive and disingenuous to think that audiences will know fact from fiction when relatively historical events are interspersed with artistic impressions and have the ability to affect the lives of the society being portrayed. This is playing out in Netflix's "The Crown".

"In a way it's the first time she appeared after divorce. She talked about her personal life, plans as well. What do you think about this??"

This was also deliberate. She also defended herself against the criticism on SM. Was this interview really spontaneous or very scripted? She had 100% backing from Taapsee.

Her biggest defenders, Sid and Taapsee, both seem to have projects in the pipeline with her. If that is so, this is a classic case of manipulation of public perception for monetary gain - the "redemption" of Sam.

One might be forgiven for thinking that the divorce only affected her and that she contributed nothing to the disintegration of the marriage. She has managed to conflate her outpourings on social media with authenticity.

She also made a comment somewhere (I"ll have to find it) to the effect that just because one is not much on SM, it does not make someone a better person. That is a direct attack on Chay.

ITA! Chay needs to PR up.

Sam is definitely an influencer but there is nothing altruistic about her brand of influencing.

At this point, based on Sam's behaviour, I hope they do not get back together again. She is becoming toxic. I also read that about Rana. Her stans then can't blame the Akkineni-Daggubati family for trying to destroy or malign her.

Yes, some YouTube channels were saying this.

From your post I assume that you were a 'chaysam' fan. I guess you notice it too that Rana adores Chay. Chay and Rana's bond is just so pure.Rana's involvement is little surprising here.

Rana was the first person to know about Chay and Sam. Chay considers Rana as his best friend.

If Rana is helping Sam any way then I have to say Chay is matured.

And as far as 'chaysam' is concerned, I have always thought they balanced each other. Chay gave her the confidence that she always lacked. She became confident in her own skin.

There was an interview ( during Majili) where Chay was asked about one quality of Sam. Chay said, if Sam likes someone she would only praise that individual and if she doesn't like she would only criticise that person. It's extreme high or extreme low. This is exactly what happening now. And I believe Chay knew what was coming.

Chay was a great influence on her life. Not sure how Sam influenced Chay.

I believe their relationship has a pre-mature death. There were rooms for discussion, they could have worked on it but maybe Sam took this decision impulsively, because it's unlikely that Chay would take any impulsive decision. And it all happened so suddenly.

(This is strictly my opinion, based on the observations I made over the last 2 years)

Would like to know your views on this.. :-)

1.yes sir.i agree with you.you caught me there..I'm a 'chaysam' fan.

2.rana and chay are first cousins and they grew up together.infact Rana's 100th instagram post was on chay and wishing him on his birthday and calling chay his favourite person.and chay is close to his maternal side as they brought him up.

3.i think sam influenced him to open up a little..in an interview before their marriage nag sir quoted, 'chay has opened up a little more and it is nice.i guess it is Sam's influence but I also think that once you reach 30 you get a clarity on life.so it's a combination of both'.

4.thats the only influence I can think of sam having over chay..other than that she lags behind in all criteria and chay is a clear winner.

5.yes,I agree..sam is very impulsive whereas chay doesn't make a move unless it is well thought out.

Really!! I am curious...

Sam said in that interview she doesn't have any expectations from 2022 but she is clearly aiming at Bollywood. I read somewhere she is learning hindi for that. So I refused to believe that she doesn't have any expectations or plans. Since the divorce she has been following a pattern, in a way or other she is making sure to be in the spotlight. It shows she has a plan. Having said that there is nothing wrong in this. This is how you move on. But then there is no reason to project that you have lost all expectations and all these.

Before their divorce announcement, Sam shared a picture of Tapsi on her insta for saaki promotion I guess. I knew that something is cooking. Probably Tapsi is launching Sam in Bollywood. And this interview was just part of it.

I would have appreciated if she had maintained her silence on this issue. Yes she is not taking any name but by saying all these she is making it clear what she is trying to portray. I am saying this as someone who used to love their pair. I felt terribly bad the day they announced their separation.

To be honest I didn't like the way she removed her surname even before these divorce rumours could start. Unnecessarily it created buzz, put both of them in an awkward situation and all the speculations started overnight. Now she is saying why people troll her on SM. Really!!! Instead of giving clues here and there if Chay indeed a terrible person then it's better to expose him totally. And I think she has all power to do that (PR and SM, now Bollywood support)

Nevertheless, I am seriously disappointed the way she handled this divorce till now.

I am glad she has emerged stronger. Probably this divorce is the best thing to have happened to her in all these years. She has so much potential.. and now she has a good opportunity to showcase it. Otherwise she would have been preggers by now and thrown away her career like my other favourite.
