Why did Rashmi and Shukla signed the contract?

Shukla says he is not here to make relationship.

Rashmi hates Shukla so much that even if he dies she doesn't want to see his face.

Then why did they sign contract at the same time?

When they arrived they were good. Looked like friends. Talked like nice civilized ppl. What is BB doing? Bonding friends or destroying their relationship?
