Whats Wrong With Cinematic Liberty?

I often see on this forum that people have issues with cinematic liberty saying that its not "realistic" or that its "too much"....but what I want to know is.....issue kya hai? Every movie requires some form of cinematic liberty otherwise kaisa chalega?

You cant have things be realistic every time, and then there are those people who see the slightest unrealistic thing and start panicking over "how could they" show this in a movie. Its so annoying, have a tequila shot and calm down please.

So what if they showed something unrealistic in a movie? Did you come to write some kind of test or something, just sit there and watch it. Nobody is coming to see realism. If you want real, then go outside for a walk or something, why are you coming to a movie looking for reality? Escapism is a huge part of cinema - especially in Bollywood.

Whether its Jaadoo or PK or Ranbir in Sanju - I believe in all of these cinematic creatures.. Whats next you want me to stop imagining also? Tomorrow if I want to have a sapiosexual relation with Jaddoo then what will you say? You cant stop me and you shouldnt.

I have enjoyed lots of unrealistic things - I mean the biggest cinematic liberty is Alia Bhatt merely for the fact that she even gets casted in movies despite look like a 12 year old. What can be a bigger liberty than that? Having a pre-teen looking girl playing mature women on screen. Or that someone like Ranbir can be an actor despite the size of his nose?

You are immature and need to grow up if you want to escape reality.

In-depth talk doesn't interest me. Make a topic like Leo being a Paedo or RK being a weirdo.

Waisey hope u r healthy and happy. 😊

I have no problems in using movies as an escape from reality.

Dunia mein already kafi Dard hai dude, if anyone wants to use those 3 hours to get away from all this that doesn't make him immature.

There is a reason movies are called a source of entertainment.

Agree with the OP that people welcome movies from Hollywood that doesn’t have realism all the time and bash Bollywood if one slightest unrealistic scenes. I’m not saying all movie should be unrealistic but films like housefull is supposed to be slapstick and should be judged based on that genre then being compared to content type films, it’s ludicrous to compare as they belong to different genre.

Wholeheartedly agree, for me all forms of entertainment (movies, music etc) are about escaping from the harsh realities of life for some time. Don’t care to see preaching, social justice & reality being shown on film (with exceptions).

Also, irreverence is awesome in my book.😎

Cinema is always about unrealistic but the more its shown close to realistic, the more people are able to associate with it.
