And I have same situations with my husband we have little age gap (not 20) but a gap and our interests are different and I adjusted with his and he did with me and we are doing well. About their intimacy what you said is so correct.

Thanks again for your wonder writings and

You're right about Mukhi getting too worked up. This age gap issue has finally surfaced in full swing. This was bound to come. And since it is the core issue of the show, it needed to be shown for a few days. As expected Mukhi had the complex and as expected Aru assured him that 'yeh farq mere liye farq hi nahi'... perfect dialogue to shut him up.

Like many of you, I too have this difference of interests with my husband. Why even tastes in food, movies, TV channels are all different. But you learn to work around them. It is not at all a big deal. Though it does appear so at the beginning of an arranged marriage. The point here is that it is not only me who gives up on stuff to accommodate him. He sees to it that my interests are taken care of too. After a while, it became a part of our routine. You eat what you want and I'll eat how and what I want. IMO differences do not necessarily create division, they only give variety to what would have been a monotonous life. Acceptance is the key.

I too was a bit disturbed with that rajkumar dialogue. But it was also expected, not now, but when he wanted to leave Ahmedabad without her.

Hope the CVs start closing all the loops in the story. Hope they bring Mishri via skype for Raksha Bandhan. Hope they show Dharmi realizing that there is no chance of her coming between Aru and Mukhi. Hope they close the domestic violence of Arjan and Uma too.

When they have done such a good job with the show, they have obviously accumulated a unique kind of fandom which expects a certain level of logic. Hope they do justice to what they have started and give us a beautiful ending.

Hi Mallika...how are you. Thank you I missed you alls posts too..caught up in the weekend now. Yes, hope CVs close the loops, hope they get the time. Mishri esp.
Domestic voilence between Arjan and Uma---excellent point. I had completely forgotten about it. I think Aru was meant to discover that and then notify Mukhi. Don't know if CVs are going in that direction though.
The show is very unique and its different treatment is what attracted me to the show. I have never followed Eijaz shows , so it was purely the characters that drew me into the story. Lets hope the best for the team. They all have put in a lot.

Age gap issues are okay. I guess..as long as meaningfully shown...

That's a lovely post, ridiculously long though😉😉😆 Its one well articulated write up👏

Agree with most of the things you mentioned. Marriage itself is a huge task needs constant nurturing, understanding, mutual respect and whole lot of other things to sustain & grow into an everlasting bond; age gap makes it a bit more complicated. Being generations apart, interests, perspectives and opinions differ indeed. Insecurity exists in all couples, but in age gap marriage self respect and ego of the husband is constantly bruised by the society. Younger wife draws so much of attention, sympathy for having a "budda". All anticipate Man to be mature, adjusting, cooperative for he has married a "girl". Here Mukhi is saved from bit of social scrutiny thanks to his position & rural set up.

Coming to off screen part, Eijoo can be sarcastic, egoistic, rude, tempered but can never be creepy. After following him for more than a decade I can safely bet on that part. He shared fantastic on & off screen chemistry with almost every one he worked with. After Kavyanjali, his pairing with Srishty Rode was equally hit with fans if not more though they share 17 years age gap Their off screen camaraderie is to die for. They shot a raunchy scene too☺️ And she went on to play a young character in SP show right after PVENU ended

Here we see lot of cajoling by Saanvi and hardly anyone guiding Aru. It needs two to make or break a relationship. Mukhi deciding not to take part in utsav is as wrong as Aru deciding to take part in it, both of them made decision for them, not as a unit. They need so much of growing up to do as individuals before as life partners. I have issues with female lead characterization, yet times she can be too prudish, dumb & over intelligent all at once. I'd signed up for a sensitive & sensible take on age gap relationships; its treat to watch two entirely different people growing together as long as the tracks chosen make sense.

Thanks Nandini, agree about length..it was whole week episode ke feelings all out at once😆 im my terms its core dump, but trie
My best to structure it 😃d

Never followed Eijaz. So I take him for what he is now.
But I like him, rather understand some of his jaded mentality...even with his sarcasm and rudeness he is more genuine than many.

Like Niyati a lot too...respect it a lot that zhe doesnt get drawn too much to social media ...there are many newbies who dont focus on thier trade because they are way too muvh into social media.

I understand the frustration with Arus character...but frankly I have similar complaints with Mukhi's character as well. The decision to participate was not initially from Aru, it was village rule that newlyweds represent the village..she was just going with the pre-established system.Ofcourse she is enthu about it thats her nature. He is Mukhi does not mean he should have final decision on every matter...understanding and decision making is a two way street.
Also I disliked in some scenes that Mukhi's s behaviour was rather paternal , like forcefeeding kadha with her nose closed..where did equality and equal standing go...would have preferred if he let her take it in her own time.. Waiting to see more husbandly behaviour from him...and viceversa. Loved the yoga scenes though...😳
