I saw yesterday's episode after reading the entire discussions on the Forum. I will be honest that I did not find as much lacking in writing as much in execution.
Both the scenes, Aru confronting Mukhi and Scence after Dharmi coming to house, were written well. I felt that the dialogues were good and realistic and in usual YMMKD style.
Aru (in spite of deciding on her own to participate in Sawan utsav in haste), said something which was very much shown the mature side of her. (I will elaborate on that part in footnote)
It was lack of physical contact which bothered me and probably which triggerred all the extreme reactions.
A couple in love (married or not), however hesitant about touch otherwise, do initiate a touch (hugs, holding hands, side hugs, as the situation permits and as per their comfort level), when comforting each other. In fact, even friends do a few of these things when conforting or reasuring.
This missing part made most of us feel that there is a lack of chemistry. I will not pass verdict so soon as it is after all a soap and they way we have our bad days at work, actors and writers are bound to have them too.
I will wait to see next couple of episodes. We all have bad days at work and the show people are entitled to a few too. I am ready to cut some slack to them.
I never was and still am not worried about Dharmi or Abhay's entry. I am ready to go out on my limb here and say that there will be no Mukhi Dharmi marriage track or Aru's affair track. (I am not ruling out misunderstandings but not real tracks).
I do not think Aru Mukhi are really going to separate. (I DO not know or claim to know anyone on sets, or actors or anyone related to this show, so this is just my reading of the way the show progressed so far, and you are allowed to ignore it, ridicule it (when and if it is proved false :D ), get angry, express completely opposite views. :-D (I like a good debate))
I also read a post about the real life fall out but I am not interested in actor's personal lives and trust them to be professional at their workplace. (Again, I do not know and do not really care if they share good off screen relationship)
Promised footnote : As Aru so rightly pointed out the age gap of a bit more than 20 years IS real and they have to live with it. People are bound to judge and if every time one of them let that affect their relationship, it won't do. But it is not easy to get rid of insecurities (or else we won't have them in the first place). I remember after the Nanavati sponsored SR fiasco, in next episode, Aru says she thinks he is Shiv even if she is not sure if she is Parvati. Even Aru knows she is not what he deserves, she is not mature, is too childish and can do things which do not suit his position. But she has made a peace with this fact much more easily than him. (Whys and how's of this deserve another post)
Cheers!
