she probably does get hurt as in the beginning she is in someone's room in mittal residence and looks less dressed up than she is in the sangeet/dance scene. But based on the Instagram selfie, I'm assuming suman gets attacked more than once and sonali gets hurt in one attack...otherwise what else can explain her lying on a bed and suman beside her and ranveer is stood there too.
