Beautiful article by fuzionproduction...
I read a quote long time ago and it had touched my heart then. It said, "The greatest thing a father can do for his daughter, is to love her mother."
Suhaana is probably one lucky daughter in this case. Her father loves her mother immensely. Yes, he might have failed in certain circumstances, yet he loves her and this is one truth that can't be changed. Even Sonakshi can't deny that.
So here goes the best moments from the scene in which Dev Dixit realises that he is a father -
1. The first things he said after realization hit him was Sonakshi is Suhaana's Mother' and Sonakshi is the mother of my child'. The sentence saying Suhaana is my daughter' came later. A man with a beautiful mind and respect towards the mother of his child can only speak like that. Even while informing Ishwari he said, I have a daughter, Sonakshi has a daughter'. Such a pure mind this man has.
2. Dev today went a bit closer to his mother. Probably in the last 7 years, for the first time he hugged her so tightly and demanded a equal tight hug. It's understandable too. Who else does he have to share his feelings now except Ishwari. So all said and done, he shared it with his mother.
And that pride in his face when he said, Ab main sirf ek beta nahi, ek bhai nahi, ek pita bhi hun', was priceless. It's the same pride that Bijoy too has for his daughter and Ishwari has for her son.
3. The precap was more beautiful. Needless to say, Suhaana enjoys Golu's Bigcha's company. But when Dev asked Soha if she knows anything about her father, she immediately said that her mother told her that he was a good man' and that his name is Dev Dixit.
Dev would know what his wife taught their daughter about him. And I guess he knows this Sonakshi. It's the same Sonakshi with whom he fell in love with, is still in love and will forever be in love with. Soha's words about her father might make Dev and Sona's confrontation more interesting. Dev's questions to her would now be more intriguing. Honestly speaking, I don't want the conversation now to be a regular one. It should be special and unique.
4. The beauty of Dev Dixit is that, unlike other shows, there's not a single ounce of doubt in Dev's mind. He checked the certificates. Saw the proofs and immediately reached the conclusion that she is his daughter. Trust me, if you had been watching any other show, the realization and the belief would not have been so smooth. But now Dev has a bigger test to give. Vickey and Radha Rani will try their level best to create a chaos with regards to this matter. How the proud father within Dev protects his little princess now will be worth watching.
5. It's not that Sonakshi didn't try to inform Dev earlier about their child. She did. But there's a reason why she couldn't and the reason is very cruel. I just hope someday, just the way the heir of the Dixit family was shown the door, the same way the reasons for that insult are also shown the door. That would literally join the two sequences parallely and would do some justice towards the wrong stuff done.
6. And yes, it was heartwarming to see how he still remembers that one night, or precisely half night he had spent with his wife at his in laws. He wanted to become the tulsi' of Sonakshi only to get his wife back. Remember?
Dev isn't shown to be really angry at Sonakshi yet. Soha's answers in school also is slowly reducing the amount of probable anger that he might have had on Sona. I am not saying it won't be there at all. But it will get reduced a lot!
Sonakshi in the coming episodes will also not be too stubborn about keeping Dev aloof. So when Sona wants the father of her daughter to meet her daughter and Dev knows that Sona's daughter is his daughter, what shades of colour will be shown between this couple who are now parents too? Truly Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi!
P.S:- And I would like to mention my favourite moment in the entire episode. It was when Soha spotted Dev in the room and clasped her hands over her mouth out of joy! She has found her superman after all!
P.P.S:- Shaheer Sheikh is a wonderful performer. His moist eyes while asking questions to Soha spoke a lot about Dev's internal emotions. I have never mentioned it, but the actor is very natural with kids on screen, be it Golu or Soha.
