Well my dear friend Ishu has already summed up most of my feelings in her post.I would like to make a few additions.
First of all,I believe that comparison is inevitable.Whether it is between two characters of the same actor or two actors playing the same character or two actors playing different characters.Comparison exists everywhere.
Secondly,I don't believe that Harman's character is weak from any angle.Infact I find him to be realistic. He is caring, sweet and a genuinely good guy.Being a nice guy doesn't make you spineless.Infact it takes guts to stand for your wife knowing her reality.
As Ishu said,it's natural for people to look for traits of Abhay or RK in Harman because the character was so different. It will take time for some to get accustomed to Harman and accept him.
When a sudden transition takes place,it takes time for people to get used to it.
Personally,I love all the characters played by VD.Be it Abhay,RK or Harman. And I believe that these characters were different from each other. This shows VD's versatility as an actor.
