awesome.
he looked like he just could not believe that suman could go through this, that suman could let someone else write his name on her hand. that he was trying to read sumo's eyes and heart , and try to let her see into his own.

Beautiful analysis of Shravan's expression.😊 I agree. He didn't look angry. He looked like he was pleading Suman to stop all the nonsense, Adi was pulling.

Wonderful post...👏

What I saw in Shravan was a man trying his best to hold on to the last shards of his own understanding...what he found were instead the same shards revealing another picture...of a life he had spent with Sumo...whether in person or away from her...That life was slowly slipping away from him...and then Lalaji's words of them being friends again rocked his very existence...Lalaji drew a picture where the room would be there...but, Sumo will not be...
Lalaji painted a future where it was not filled with colours of rainbow...but, a land which is no better than a wasteland...where rains will no longer comfort or soothe (Ironic...that the most serene atmosphere for Shravan was when rains were falling and he told his greatest truth to his father)...
Though Lalaji was standing there giving him solace with his words and presence...what I saw was a man broken and lonely... losing the only dream he had ever nurtured in his life...His Sumo...
What was worse...it was he who had announced that friendship was khokli...hollow...
Shravan Malhotra probably at that instant would have given his very life to retrieve that khokli friendship

Namik was uber brilliant in that scene yesterday...he was those waves wanting to desperately to touch the shores of the land (to call out to his Sumo)..and his eyes pleaded with Sumo to not torture herself because of him...
Friendship was not khokli...it was what has made Shravan stand in front of the mirror and yet not see a reflection of himself...but...a ghostly presence of what could have been

Thank you Indrani ! Brilliantly written yourself 👏
"Khokli dosti" how words were coming back to him like a boomerang. Shravan Malhotra has started regretting every word of what he said and the new mirror is not helping. The old mirror was his own version of the "mirror of Erised", he broke it and now he wants it back. The mirror is their friendship.
As for giving his life, he has, the selfish Shravan Malhotra, the angry jealous one is dead. And Lalaji made sure he was buried 😉

Did you notice how Adithya walks out of one door and Shravan the friend and not the scorned lover walks in through the other door. Symbolism ?

Beautiful write up...👏 nith,

Yesterday was vintage EDKV...

Namik super brilliant in all his scenes...the pain that Shravan feels hits you with a raw force...

A small nuance in one of the other scenes, when he asks Sumo to confide in him...he has reverted to the old Shravan in the "kya hua" ...and he is back to feeling irritated with the "tum", yet this time out of concern and then again he recovers to realise that their equation has undergone change...The restrained "tum mujhe bata sakti ho" and the desolation and quiver in his voice when he is kept at bay...Namik just raised the benchmark a notch higher...

Thanks sanfan ! I was mentioning on another thread and I say it here as well, classic EKDV is like Shraman's love, it keeps surfacing even when the drama around is so loud 😆

Agree with what you said, he has reverted to the old Shravan, had he said "Sumo" in the same tone as he had the other day in the car, Sumo would have spilled it all. She was also weak at that point but Suman recovers very fast.

Namik is brilliant !

YES, YES, YES!!! Somebody else noticed!!! Nith, I noticed that too, and couldn't help making a connection with the PreeKar sangeet nite when Shravan walks out and Aditya walks toward Suman. But since I believe that I suck at symbolism, I chose to shut my mouth. Have been known to suffer from foot-in-mouth disease often... But so happy that it wasn't the case this time...
It was also a moment when the two actually "talk" instead of taunting each other.

Adithya is going to go out the door soon but I hope he gets thrown out of a window 😉
What makes you think you suck at symbolism ? You are the one who was talking about the lost time and the watch isn't it ?

Wonderful analysis as usual 👏
U wrote shravan's pain so well. I too felt he wasnt jealous but hurt to see her hurting herself.

Few lines for shravan (writing after ages)

Tera dard ki wajah koi aur bane ye humko gawara nahi
Mana ki ab koi nata humse tumahra nhi
Teri dawa main ban jaun kya itna bhi haq ab humara nahi
