Ameesha gets emotional on her grandma's death anniversary

Ameesha Patel was known to have had a close relationship with her grandmother, Susheela Patel Gokhale, who passed away on August 25, 2010. She was feeling nostalgic while visiting Pune to attend an event, so she decided to pass by her late grandmother's home and shared these pictures on Twitter. Ameesha tweeted, "Couldn't control my tears. Just touching the name plate of my late grandma today at her home in Pune made me feel soo much pain.. R.I.P"

Interestingly, Ameesha's role in Ankahee is inspired by her grandmother's life.

Ameesha's grandmother was a handicraft artiste and has an exhibition in Mumbai called Glimpses Of Gandhi, which features mini figures about Gandhi's personal and political life through 28 tableaux. She was the ex-wife of the famous lawyer-politician Barrister Rajni Patel who was the Congress Pradesh Committee President of Mumbai.
