At least khele him jee jaan se had authentic look and characterizations. The characters looked like they came straight from Bengal of British raj era. But MJ is such a gone case. It's a shame. So much could have been done with the story of this mysterious awe inducing civilization. Everything is going wrong for HR this year!

They should not have called it Mohenjodaro IMO. It set up all sorts of expectations and comparisons with everyone becoming a history expert 😆

Everyone expected a story ABOUT Mohanjodaro - like a journey about its mysteries, way of life and some awesome suspenseful climax about some discovery about the place. And all actors, including Hrithik, saying a story ABOUT Mohanjodaro. But here its the other way around. The place Mohanjodaro is just a background used to say a very typical story of poor civilians fighting against a mean king & a poor peasant falling in love the the King's daughter 🥱. How many times have we seen such a plot? It could have been any village in India, why to pick Mohanjodaro for it if the story is not going to speak ABOUT Mohanjadaro?!

And another thing, both the songs they have released have similar picturisations - Hrithik and background dancers dancing in front of the King and his daughter (who has the same smile in every frame/song), who later joins him in the dance.

They had so much of scope with a title like Mohanjodaro and I had so much of expectations from this movie, but unfortunately looks like they might not be able to do justice to it 😔.

Am I missing something? Is there some Nandana Sen Rang Rasiya or Mandakini Ram Teri Ganga type scene in this movie that Im not aware about? How do we know censor wont trim it? 😕
