Kokila "liberating" Gopi bahu of her "seven" vows in marriage with Ahem was so stupid it is offensive making mockery of Hindu rituals.
Hindus do take seven vows around the fire for marriage. But they cannot liberate each other of the vows taken around the fire.

Understand modern laws are there to remarry divorce or separate. They are laws of the country.

There is no "ritual" to "liberate" each other of the marriage vows.

That being said Ahem is dead. Kokila tried to marry off Gopi bahu without her consent when Gopi was not in a conscious state of mind to some person who "wanted' to marry her.

The said person is educated a doctor who knows the state of his patient. He must be knowing laws . He must be knowing that he cannot marry a person who is not in a conscious state of mind.

Both kokila and Dr. Krishna have gone against the law. One person's wish and an elder's consent are not enough to "marry" a girl who does not even know what is going on around her.

Now this "sitting" in front of the fire and "liberating" Gopi bahu of her vows is sheer utter stupidity and nonsense.

We the viewers have tolerated so much bakwas from the show but that was bearable. This is beyond all the stupid things that have happened so far.

And for that matter who is Kokila to "liberate" Gopi bahu of her vows with Ahem? She is no one. When Ahem died the relationship died. To live in his memory or not is Gopi's decision nobody else's .

Kokila's relation also is gone when Ahem died. It is Gopi's goodness that she is still with Kokila.

Ok Kokila "liberates' Gopi bahu then Gopi is a free bird. She if she does not want need not marry anyone.

No one can compel her. Emotional blackmail for marriages is punishable offence. Kokila needs to go behind bars.

And religious organistions should object to Kokila and her "un" vowing Gopi of her marriage vachans.

I did not mind gopi's remarriage as they tackled another issue -- a woman with grown kids getting married, which is a major taboo. It would have been even better if the whole thing was done with gopi's consent as it would have been more meaning ful.

That being said I completely agree you about making mockery of marriage rituals. There is no way undo the pheras and who is koki to undo the prior marriage. Legally it is complete no-no.

In soap worlds, marriage has no meaning or value except when they want it to have. Leads marry multiple times, males often have a second wife without divorce or come very close to it. I have seen ulta-pheras in one show to undo the marriage with a pandit presiding on the un-coupling ceremony. 🤢

As long as the TRPs are high, no one cares.

I agree with the part about the forced marriage. It is unlawful as Gopi wasn't in proper state of mind. If either spouse was not mentally in the right state, then I don't think such marriages are legally valid.
Having said that, SNS is a show where logic has always taken a backseat so we can't expect a conflict free storyline. Cvs write whatever they think will lead to more TRPs.
