Hi Guys,

Here is post #2 on ETR...I know I know...I didn't think I will make another one so soon...but I happened to be home early...and thought of writing something...so here goes...

One thing that made an impression on me is Gayatri's meeting Ranaji and her state of mind after she had seen him in action at the library...listening to the poor soldier ...But the real first meeting takes place after Ranaji saves her from drowning...and that's when she loses herself...

When I saw the scene...what came to mind was the following song by Taylor swift...I guess, somethings are universal...Like Gayatri's state of mind...and the one described in the lyrics of this song...

Yeah I think after he saved her from the drowning Gayatri felt her first feelings towards Ranaji. Well I think Gayatri had always revered and idolized Ranaji from what she had heard. But when your idol does something really nice to you I guess your bound to lose your heart. It like having your dream come to life. Taylor Swift songs probe describes her feeling perfectly. Plz do write more.

You didn't...red...but I guess I should say something about today's episode...

Okay...I saw the episode itminan se...

First of all let me just say...SK is a fine choice for playing Ranaji...he looks pretty royal...in terms of physique, his gate...does fencing...horse riding ...piano playing with ease...walks like a model...and it is hard for me to not like the white shirts, suits and shining shoes...very prim and proper! Love it!! 😃

Loved the scene between Ranaji and Rajmata...both having huge egos...both dominating...The photograph scene was well done...the dialogues were awesome! 👏 He feels like he is being sold...and he has very reason to think like that...! He is being sacrificed for debt that he had nothing to do with...This is a very interesting thing in this story...usually...we see female characters being forced into marriage for various reason...often to do with money matters...this time it is the prince...what a twist!! 😃 He resents Rajmata and he resents the girl...who symbolizes his exploitation...Who is the reason he is being asked to betray the memories of his first love...

Loved the pained expression in this scene...well done!!

The only problem is the episode will air at 10:30 pm on my dish subscription...

So carry on...guys...I will update this later...

UPDATE:

Of course the most interesting scene was the chance meeting between Gyatri and Ranaji at the temple...sort of reminded me of the teej episode in IPK...and the chance meeting between Arnav and Khushi...very similar...

The Kangan catching scene was rather silly ...but it had a lot of symbolism...symbol of the groom presenting the bride the Kangan...as he is supposed to, letting go of his first wife nishani...Gayatri...throwing Sindoor on him...which was staregically placed on his forehead...😛...all the good stuff...

Loved the little exchange of dialogues...Ranaji is quite cool...doesn't get angry when a commoner throws stuff on his spic and span suit...even engages in pleasant conversation with her, recognizes her, chit chats...and is very understanding, respectful, kind and considerate...nice to see this connection irrespective of the marriage...at least some indication of what "normal" would have been like...between the two...

I came to add one thing.. I just skimmed through today's episode.. Gayatri surely seems like a republican.. She doesnt believe in taxation 😆 Okay jokes apart I am seeing danger signs in Ranaji already.. The way he is blaming Gayatri for being a power hungry and greedy girl is not my cup of coffee.. I understand where he is coming from.. He is in a state of distress.. But is it really fair to blame Gayatri?.. Gayatri coming down the stairs backwards due to her mannat seemed a bit silly to me.. But the symbolisim was apparent there... He wants to let go of Sulakshana's memories because he feels guilty of being disloyal to her (faithful guy I must say) but that thought it self pulls him closer to Gayatri?? The way he gives her the Kangan he unknowingly gives away Sulakshana's place in his life to Gayatri.. The best I could do..

Ha ha...I skimmed through it too...waiting to watch properly at 10:30... But...Gayatri is not a republican...she just doesn't want poor people to pay any taxes...😆 Still a democrat with a large bracket for tax exemption ...you see...😛

Of course Ranaji will think ill of the seth's daughter...he is being sold and she is the bidder...just imagine a girl in his place...marrying a rich guy who is bidding...she would have similar misgivings...

Yup every situation seems more relatable with a girl in it for me.. Maybe I missed the part about the poor.. I just heard "someone's hard work shouldn't be given to another... Perhaps I am judging a bit too early.. I would love to see her take part in the political and financial decisions once she becomes Queen.. Lets see how it goes..
