i was shocked to see a comment that manik is the bad guy and he will do this its nandini fault as she is not protesting.its like log rape hone ke bad bolte hain ladko ka khoon to garam hota hi hain wo to aisa karenge ladkiyon ko khudko sambhalna tha.
what exactly is "shocking" about this comment? Manik has been established as a kameena with anyone who isn't from his group since day1. Expecting him to go easy on his supposed enemies just doesn't make sense. But Nandini? She was a strong girl who took no one's shit but now she is obliging to everything he demands and not even trying to find any loophole to get out of his slavery. How is Manik at fault if he's doing the one thing he promised he would to her - make her life hell. Please don't start assuming that I support abuses but in context, Manik's fault isn't bigger than Nandini's.
And bringing in rape in every abuse argument is so easy. Rape is the ultimate show of power that man can wield over woman (or vice versa). Yahan rape ka kya kaam? Better argument would be about bullying since that's what we are talking about here.
Is he trying to rape her? No. Did he molest her? Not that I think of. Did he make her uncomfortable? Yes. Does he get physically abusive with her? Only some manhandling to make her bow. Rest she does with all her free will.
Rape is an inexcusable crime. But that's not what's happening here. It's harassment. When a woman is harassed by someone and she stays quiet about it, then she becomes an equal culprit. Why was she silent? Why didn't she speak up? Why no cries of protests? Why no plan to counter that act of harassment? Why give the man the chance to continue doing that shit?
