agree with you on her hair style, as far as her dress is concerned...well she looked cool in that dress, and agreed its an official party but saree...well she is modern women, i guess she would not ware saree, i see babita in saree very rare...like one in a blue moon..may be when they celebrate durga puja or some other festival, other wise she always wear modern clothes, and salwar kameez and stuff...

Firstly,hair colour needs to be changed immediately . Its no more in fashion or may be I never found it fashionable😆. May ne a few coloured hair strands would look cooler. That hair style doesn't suit her. It makes her face look more oval, rather longer than it usually is. She needs to keep her hair open with curls may be. She will look cute.

Secondly, since it is not the usual sho- sha party the GD wasis do and rather an official or promotion party where his colleagues were invited, I recommend a saree over the western outfit.
