I wonder what's really happening to TV world these days? Everything is just game of TRPs and money. Just make a concept that will make people vote and there you earn money through SMS. Bit of extra money isnt bad afterall, right?

And what is wrong with these girls? You want to find a nice guy, good. but, this is certainly not the right way in my opinion. This is just a reminder of chauvinistic TV people and purushpradhan desh. Guys and their mothers get to behave to like they are kings or queens of the world. It seems like there is competition betn girls for getting good guys. Why cant these people be fair for heavens sake? Why are there no moms of girls? Why only 5 guys?
There are competitions to win perfect bride. But tell me can be anyone be perfect for everyone? What is perfect for one guy, will not be for another. There will be always biases. Why can't they be practical and see if they can make perfect pairs rather than eliminating prospective matches? In short, this seems just a competition to win 25 lakhs rather than finding a perfect match.
I remember seeing one Marathi movie (Sanai Chaughde....) btw i am not marathi but my husband is. In that movie they portrayed a beautiful concept. 10 girls and guys will stay in house like this with their parents. Each of them will get a chance to talk to whoever they like. There will be compatibility tests through interviews, computer test, etc. based on compatibility scores, they can have personal dates. parents will be also there to guide them. Well, this is what a call real matchmaking and FAIR.
Just because BigBoss and RKS have been a huge success, it doesn't mean that you have to follow the same route. Can't they be little original and different and fair?
I am sorry, if I hurt anyone, but I had to get it out of my system. I just can't take girls being treated unfairly.

I am a marathi and I have watched the movie 'sanai chaughade' and it was absolutely delightful and refreshing😃 But, in my opinion all the girls/guys/moms in the show are adult and responsible. They certainly know the outcomes of their consent to be a part of such a show. If someone finds a groom/bride by this route its their call and what happens later is their lookout. I wouldnt say the girls are being treated unfairly. The definition between being fair and unfair is relative and depends on perception. The girls are not forced to marry someone. If they dont like it they are free to not get married.

Yup, that movie was really refreshing. I never knew Marathi cinema was so advance. Would have never been exposed to this world, had it not been for my husband. This for me is beautiful way to learn new language. Just wish these movies were uploaded with subtitles.
True. no one is forced to do anything. They all are adults. But, there is no lack of people who go to such shows for bit of fame, bit of money, and a faint chance of finding someone they may love. Many of them aren't here for finding love. However, I wonder what kind of impression this leaves to the world who watch such shows? Don't they prove that age old mentality of guys are superior still exist? Wait till we see real heartbreaks, some girls crying helplessly, treated ill-mannerly. All this is bound to happen by such a format. It just seems like a wrong message.
Where are equal rights? True, at the end girl gets to choose whether she wants to marry any of the boys, but not before 9 girls get their hearts broken, not before we get to see so much drama.
I generally don't utter strong words against any show, but I am kind of tired of being polite always, even when i dont feel so.

There are some fantastic movies that you should definately watch, and I would like to suggest "7 chya aat gharaat" (Fabulous movie ever made), "Matichya Chuli', 'Shubh Vivah'. You wont get to watch such movies anytime with fabulous actors😊

Exactly! I totally dont buy the fact that one should advertise such moments on national TV. The mix of girls/guys that they have chosen seems to point to the fact that some of them are here for other reasons. Reasons not related to marriage or love And seeing Vrinda yesterday, I am sure that we see a heart break coming soon. These girls are at a vulnerable age😕 Dont even talk about the age old Indian mentality exposed on this show. Girls==cooking, boys==gymming, bringing ration etc The society that portrays that a bahu should always appease the in laws and do what husbands ask them to. 😕

I dont think that the show producers believe in concept of equality. They chose Amrita rao, Priyanka chopra, harman on the shows, people who are not even married will suggest and give tips on marriage😳

Hmm! chillax re..not worth it. I am pretty confident this is all for entertainment. Watch it for that. None will risk their life by getting married on this show. 😳

Hey, my husband insisted that I watch Matichya chuli and now you also referred me that. So finally I watched it yesterday (obviously with my hubby who was traslating it for me)......... I must say it was very good. U know, my husband is dying to make me watch good movies like Valu. But it seems Valu is in too rural language and impossible for me to understand.
About show being just a entertainer. YuP that's right. I will surely understand, but it seems like the trap to those uneducated or orthodox families still living in the world where girls can only cook and guys have all the rights. It just seems to motivate them more to be like what they are.
You infact pointed a very good thing. Girls are there to cook, clean and please supposed saasus and guys are there to do gym and enjoy.

Exactly what I've been screaming from the roof tops. But if they did everything normal like, who'd watch? This is all their strategy. 😕
