TOI: Prachi, Gautami, Shilpa in race for Archana

Ever since Ankita Lokhande quit Balaji Telefilm's Pavitra Rishta on Zee Tv, the ardent fans of the show have been eagerly waiting to see the return of their favorite character Archana.

However, Ankita's decision of not coming back to the show has left every one high and dry. The news about Ankita's replacement has already created lot of curiosity in the media as to who will be the new Archana.

Off late, Media has been flooded with reports like Balaji loyalists Shilpa Saklani and Gautami Kapoor have been approached to replace Ankita but the latest buzz suggests that beautiful and charming Prachi Shah of Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi fame is also one of the strongest contenders in the race.

Sources inform that some of the big and small names of Hindi and Marathi TV industry have auditioned to play the role of Archana in the popular daily. But if everything falls into place then one amongst Prachi Shah, Gautami Kapoor and Shilpa Saklani will play Archana inPavitra Rishta.

When contacted, Ankita Lokhande said, "Yes, I have been approached for the role but I have no clarity on this."
