Ovi should not disappear
She should make Purvi and onir disappear from her life
Why should onir be banned
Purvi should be disowned

People keep blaming Ovi for the seperation of arvi and always thought she was the obstacle now I want to see how arvi will reunite
If they reunite what will Mahaan Purvi say to her family

Watch out, my dear, you are on a sticky wicket here! By this definition of love, Purvi, who sold Arjun to Ovi like a commodity without a single thought as to how he would feel or cope, or about the life of misery she was condemning him to, did not love Arjun either. Which in any case is what I always felt, that it was Arjun doing all the loving, while Purvi let herself be loved.

Please do not cite tyaag for her mother either; that has nothing to do with it. If she had really loved him she would have co-opted Arjun to try and find another way out for Archana and Manav. Instead, she got hold of the only commodity she had, Arjun. and sold him to Ovi without so much as a warning. In fact, she tells him over the phone from the beauty salon, when he does not want to come to the hill top, Mujhpe vishwas hai na? Vishwas??? And this kind of blatant betrayal is supposed to be love? Not to me.

Shyamala Aunty

Dear Shyamala Aunty So you think Purvi never loved Arjun thats why she gave him to Ovi, what about Pari did she never love her aswell, now its look like both Arvi never love each other because of stupid twist and turns,

No, Ashi, that is not quite what I meant. You must look at the nuances, everything is not so clear cut. What I wrote here referred to Vasu's definition of love, and what it would come out as if applied to Purvi as well.

But yes, I do believe, and have always thought, that Purvi never loved Arjun anywhere near as much as he loved her. For him, she was the beginning and the end of his existence. He loved her madly then, and he does the same now, within the limitations of the social set up, and looks ridiculous in the process. He and Ovi should have got a divorce after that slap fest at the party before Purvi pushed off to Kolkata,. but no, he had to jump thru the hoop Purvi held up for him. So, there is not question of his not being still besotted with Purvi, the chump.

For her, as Jyothi once set out in a very funny post, he came in at about No.11 i n her priority list, after Archana, Manav, Sulochana, Ovi, Soham, and perhaps Teju and a couple of others as well. She would have given him up for any of the people on this list, and in the case at hand, it was Archana, or so she thought. To my mind, this does not make it laudable, it merely looks both stupid and selfish. She did not ask Arjun before she sold him to Ovi; she conned him into coming to that hilltop, and then used all her powers over him to bludgeon him emotionally into marrying Ovi. Agreed, he was an idiot to go along with it, but the main fault was hers.

This is not love, not for me, and I can NEVER forgive her for what she did to Arjun. Never. So I have no use for all the folk who justify what she did as tyaag. What it was is human sacrifice. Of Arjun.

Now, though it is not here a question of love in any degree on her side, she is doing exactly the same with Onir, a man to whom she can never repay what she owes him, a man who has stood by her, and still stands by her, whatever the situation and whatever the cost to himself. But Purvi does not seem to have the slightest concern for what might happen to her legally wedded husband's highly regarded career because of what she has made him do.

As for Pari, I am sure she loves her, but not more than her own mahaanta. If she is so set on being a Tyaagi No.1, she should, having given Pari to Ovi, have told Sulochana that her home is now in Kolkata, that Onir has to get back there, and left. Why does she hang around here, with her famous husband reduced to a ghar jamai and sleeping on the floor like a servant? Why does she not sleep on the floor?

Purvi, Ashi, is 'like that only'. As I wrote once, for her there are only 2 categories of persons: those for whom she will do anything - her mother, her aaji, her Manav baba, Ovi, Soham, and perhaps Teju - and those to whom she will do anything to protect the interests of the first group - and that is the two I like best, Arjun and Onir.

She will never stand by any man, lover or husband, and any man who has the misfortune to fall in love with her had better understand that, or run as fast as he can in the opposite direction. Interestingly enough, she has some Fevikwik like magi c, for both of them stay stuck fast to her whatever the damage to them!

Why Cv's are making Ovi's character to go in Lame?Is it the way to say a good bye?
Ovi did love Arjun but Arjun never loved her,his 1st n last love is Purvi but what about that who spent a year with you as your wife. She doesn't has any meaning in Your Life Arjun.
Purvi should be banned from both the houses bcoz her one mistake has devasted 3 Lifes n which can't be payable by her.

Shyamala Aunty, i wrote exactly the same that purvi could have achieved this in any number of ways, ne of them being stopping her wedding, for the moment or forever, because that was exactly what ovi wanted---that she leave arjun. those were ovis words when she proposed the deal to purvi. Now after that, if ovi could woo arjun and if he agreed to do anything with her ir not, it didnt concern purvi nor affect the terms of the deal. She could have very well waited until everything with the D clan was sorted and her aai accepted well n truly by her family before marrying arjun in a years time or two. Ovi would probably have moved on by then, with having her aai's support that she so blatantly craves for. Either way, it wouldn't have mattered. But she did the one thing that ensured ruin, something that even ovi did not ask for or expect. She went ahead n got them married. Copy-pasting my full post here

"Jhanvi, agreed it wasn't purvi's need or place to advice archana how to deal with ovi. I will concede also that purvi could agree to marry the guy who even though he told her he loved her--also hid the fact from her that he had given his word to another girl, leave alone her mother's estranged daughter, who got engaged in front of her and who kept up the engagement for a few months while continuing to profess his love for her. Let's say there was no one else in the world for her, and also that she had to get married to him so urgently--no not necessary to wait until ovi got out of her depression, not her sister not her problem especially when archana herself was least concerned about it. Why couldn't she wait until the divorce was finalized and the D clan left for canada? Of course, her mother insisted and she couldn't say no. All of this, I will concede--chalo, she's only following her heart and her aai's orders.

Why then the insistence on manav doing the kanyadaan? Manav was the dad who was trying to keep his depressed daughter from doing something stupid while her mother and aaji were making preparations for a super-fast grand wedding with the guy who was supposed to marry the same daughter, this while also dealing with the divorce which he wanted done and all the obstacles created by purvi herself. Did she really think of anyone but herself here? She wanted manav, but not the rest of the family that came with him? If she was set on marrying arjun, she should have known that Manav could not be a part of her happiness. She did not know ovi was depressed and suicidal, but she knew manav's feelings on her betrothal right? He had made it very clear to all of them. She also knew the marriage was making relations of her mom with D clan worse, she knew that. Her mom did not care for it, she accepted that. But purvi didn't. She still wanted manav, but how could she have him as her dad when she was marrying his daughter's ex-fiance? Nothing changed for her when ovi presented the deal to her, she already knew the facts as they were. Yes, she got hope that not going through the marriage will stop the divorce. That should have been obvious---without arjun-purvi marriage, the divorce would be open for dialogue atleast. With their marriage happening, there was no way for reconciliation.

And really, for anyone with any kind of sense, she had several weapons in her arsenal she could have used instead of not only agreeing to the deal but getting arjun and ovi married. She knew that archana had not signed the divorce papers, maybe that info would not have stopped the divorce by itself but telling that vital info to somebody would have made them curious. That's what happened with teju--she realized that savita had signed the divorce papers and not archana, she did some investigation and uncovered the truth. The other thing is the deal itself. Ovi asked purvi to stop the marriage in exchange of archana's acceptance in their lives. Purvi could have just stopped the wedding, whether for the moment or forever, she needn't have forced arjun to marry ovi. Ovi couldn't have expected that purvi would actually arrange arjun-ovi wedding, she wanted and asked her to stop arjun-purvi wedding itself. She clearly said--"tum bas arjun ko chod do". Of course, purvi took it one step further and not only stopped her own wedding but got ovi married to him. And finally, she could have just told her they had already had intimate relation-that would have probably stopped Ovi in her tracks. or she could have just flat out refused Ovi, gone ahead with the wedding without suddenly thinking about family reconciliation and worried about it later. It wasn't that she was put on a spot right at the muhurat either that she had to make a hasty decision, she had 48 hours to think and make a decision. And she took this decision, nuff said."

Finally there's more space in the D house! Archu's in a coma. Ovi's out, so Arjun and Pari are (hopefully) out. Teju will be off to her sasural soon (Jigu or Sunny). Now all that are left are Manav, Savita, Damodar, and Sachin (who will soon find a girl and get the first ticket to Canada).
Thank gosh, CVs are taking an unprecedented step towards practicality! :P

you know what? i think purvi should take sanyas. purvi can start an ashram and sacrifice every earthly moh maya and finally become the heavenly being that she craves to be. i think they r going to write ovi off so arjun can just jump on the ashram bandwagon and divulge himself in his relationship with this higher being as much as he wants (purely spiritual relationship of course). onir can open his own ashram of free treatment and his motto will be 'kaand kiye ja. phaal ki chinta mat kar.' they can all be satisfied with their mahatma and bhakt status' and leave the meager earthly folks in peace. pari can remain with ovi or manav and archana or whomever will have her cause her biological parents and adoptive father have all done tyaag of their earthly relationships (including her) to attain halos.
